Who we're looking for
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our agile team. You will be working closely with product owners, developers, product designers and senior management to not only ensure proper execution of the company vision but be a driving force in that vision. You will be involved in working on multiple products with a modern tech stack, and on projects involving multiple team members in a dynamic environment.
We’d like that you aren’t afraid of voicing an opinion on how to do things better, in both our products, and in our daily workflows and processes. This role leverages a dynamic hybrid work approach, with 4 days per week spent collaborating in-office to drive maximum productivity and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Identify and gather business requirements, conduct in-depth requirement analysis, and evaluate user, business, operational, risk and compliance aspects
- Perform gap analysis on data, systems, processes and procedures as required for the enhancement/feature/product
- Interpret requests from banking partners, vendors, Operations, Compliance and regulatory regulations into data sourcing and development requirements and specifications
- Proactively review business processes and develop optimization strategies alongside Product Owners
- Identify benefits, potential issues and risks of existing and proposed solutions with metrics
- Assist Development Leads in decomposing epics into user stories
- Refine user stories to increase the degree of detail relating to acceptance criteria, assumptions, constraints and dependencies
- Contribute to Quality Assurance activities by supporting development of test strategies, test plans and test scenarios; and active participation in assessing and resolving test defects
- Assist in managing risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements and communicate to appropriate parties
- Manage various agile ceremonies, alongside Product Owners
- Facilitate collaborative refinement sessions and walkthroughs with your team (Dev, Product and Design teams) to gather feedback and ensure common understanding of requirements and delivery timeline
- Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business, and information technology
- Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing diversity in the workplace and supporting and proudly representing Currenxie in the community
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration / Information Systems / Computer Sciences or related disciplines
- 3-7 years of experience in business analysis/data analysis/product management in financial industry, preferably in a startup environment
- Knowledge of financial services domain (Compliance, Payments and settlement) and digital products (online only offerings)
- Proven experience with adopting agile methodologies into complex feature and product implementation
- Demonstrated experience with user stories, business and system specifications, business context diagrams and business process maps
- Experienced in documenting business requirements, functional requirements and interface specifications
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-minded, able to handle multi-tasks
- Strong verbal/written communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills, adapting style and technique to a diverse audience
- A team player with great interpersonal skills
- Native English speaker (Cantonese and/or Mandarin a major plus)
- Knowledge in SQL, reporting tools and/or light programming is an advantage
- Prior experience in a payment-focused role is an asset
