The role

As a Product Owner at Tripstack, you'll report into a Product Manager serving as an operational leader and product strategist for your portfolio within the Content Acquisition team.

You will oversee the integration and operation of flight content into our platform, ensuring we maintain world-leading content at the highest possible quality while keeping our systems stable and performant.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Incident Management

  • Own end-to-end operational performance of your assigned content portfolio (APIs, consolidators, or scrapes), ensuring system stability, SLA adherence, and production health

  • Lead incident management and structured RCA (root cause analysis) investigations for any issues; drive resolution tracking and prevention of recurring production issues

  • Define, monitor, and proactively manage operational KPIs: uptime, latency, booking failures, error rates, conversion impact, and portfolio risks

  • Act as primary operational escalation point for airline-related issues, coordinating rapidly across engineering, product teams, and external airline partners

Cross-Functional Coordination & Priority Management

  • Facilitate resource planning and allocation decisions with your engineering team; identify constraints and trade-offs

  • Manage the balance between competing priorities (new feature development, production support, incident response, and ad-hoc requests)

  • Define and communicate clear priorities to engineering teams - including what gets deprioritized and why

  • Coordinate all team standups, sprint planning, ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude reviews), and alignment meetings

  • Track dependencies, blockers, and risks; escalate appropriately and coordinate cross-team resolution

  • Monitor sprint velocity, deliverables, and team output; continuously optimize processes for delivery efficiency

Stakeholder Alignment & Communication

  • Align internal stakeholders (engineering, product leadership, data teams) and external partners (Etraveli Group, airlines, consolidators) around priorities, timelines, and expectations

  • Communicate operational status, KPIs, and business decisions clearly and concisely - orally and in writing

  • Facilitate regular sync meetings with engineering leadership, other product teams, and stakeholders

  • Prepare status reports, milestone updates, and analytics dashboards for leadership visibility

Product Definition & Requirements

  • Translate high-level business objectives and customer needs into clear, well-documented product requirements and user stories

  • Define acceptance criteria and work with QA to establish test cases

  • Establish acceptance criteria and work with QA teams to build comprehensive test cases

  • Create reusable components and standardized approaches across recipe integrations to improve quality and reduce duplicative work

Strategic Analysis & Decision-Making

  • Conduct data-backed analysis to inform prioritization decisions; evaluate impact against business value

  • Work with architects, engineering managers, and product leaders to assess technical feasibility and design efficient solutions

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in security, CI/CD, quality, and performance practices

  • Monitor KPIs tied to product decisions and iterate based on results

  • Root cause analysis of systemic product issues and recommend structural improvements

Partnership with Engineering & Architecture

  • Collaborate with engineering leads on solution architecture, ensuring alignment between product vision and technical implementation

  • Work with platform and engineering teams to identify and resolve technical blockers

  • Support architecture decisions that balance speed of delivery with long-term platform health

Job Requirements
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a product or program management role with significant operational responsibility

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple competing priorities

  • Excellent communication skills across technical teams, product teams, and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strategic thinker with strong experience in data-backed decision making

  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to move fast and make decisions with incomplete information

  • Leadership skills: ability to bring teams together toward a common purpose and coordinate across multiple teams

Technical & Industry Knowledge

  • Knowledge of software architecture, REST, cloud platforms, platform engineering, and microservices

  • Experience working as a hands-on QA engineer or application developer would be advantageous

  • Travel industry experience - particularly with airline APIs, NDC standards, or GDS/PSS systems

  • Experience building airline or flight content integrations

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and production observability platforms
