The Opportunity
PDI Software is looking for a Product Owner to help manage a fast-growing data analytics platform used by Major C store chains and Consumer Packaged Goods companies. The Product Owner works closely with the Technical Product Manager to maintain and deliver the product roadmap features and define the scope for product releases. Prior experience in Product Management, Product Owner or Business Analyst role for a business facing application is highly desired.
As a Product Owner, you are expected to have in-depth experience launching products and integrating Data Analytics, CRM and other Web technologies into business facing Enterprise applications.
The Product Owner provides strategic and technical leadership on projects, which involve large cross-functional extended teams. Provides input to functional teams on resource negotiation, managing workload, and setting schedules. Understands and ensures goals are met within the group or department. Must be a solid leader, excellent communicator both written and verbal and have a proven ability to lead effectively. Technology experience with the ability to understand and communicate highly complex, technical requirements and project details greatly enhance this candidate’s effectiveness and desirability.
Primary Responsibilities 
 Develop detailed requirements and user stories for the development team.

• Provide technical inputs to help Product Strategy define the business roadmap.
• Play an active role in story definition, prioritization and design to ensure the requirements are tracked and delivered in the product.
• Stay involved throughout the entire life cycle of the assigned products, working closely with engineering teams, from product initiation to delivery and eventual product retirement.
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Support teams to ensure that their requirements are documented and met.
• Work with stakeholders to clearly define their desired outcomes.
• Track dependencies with work being done on other projects.
• Driving resolution and customer communication for production issues.
• Understanding and evangelizing products internally and externally.
• Providing subject matter expertise for Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing teams within the sales cycle.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

• 2-3 years’ experience in a software product management/product owner role
• Experience delivering business facing enterprise applications and web services.
• Acute analytical skills and the ability to solve problems quickly.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) tailored for each of a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Agile methodologies (particularly the role of Product Owner), with relevant experience in all phases of the product life cycle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Data Analytics, CMS (Content Management Systems) and RESTful APIs (Application Programming Interface) technologies and how they are used in a B2B environment.

Experience and Skills – Preferred

• Certified Product Owner Certification and/or Training.
• Great project management skills including multiple projects at a time.
• Experience designing solutions for data analytics applications.
• Experience designing solutions for data lake integration applications.
• Experience implementing solutions in enterprise application environments.
• Familiarity with technologies such as: XML, JSON, CSS, HTML, CMS, Web Services
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience.
