This exciting opportunity will see you take responsibility for delivering changes to further optimise the end to end Deceased Estates processes. As a Senior Product Owner, you will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the Group to drive key improvements whilst keeping your finger on the pulse for BAU matters.

The Everyday Banking team supports the full spectrum of customers’ transaction banking and deposits needs from birth through to retirement. We support over 9 million customers manage their day to day spend, save to achieve their financial goals, and more. We have end to end accountability for all Retail Deposits and Transactions products and customer experiences, the groups Open Banking obligations and key customer journeys including Disputes, Deceased Estates and Authorities. 

 

Within Everyday Banking, the E2E Customer Journeys Crew is responsible for the design and delivery of exceptional customer journeys for critical processes such as Disputes and Deceased Estates and Retail Authorities. These journeys are an opportunity to show true care to our customers as they engage with us at moments that matter, when they are in particularly vulnerable circumstances. 

More specifically you will:

  • Understand the voice of the customer and the voice of our staff working in the Deceased Estates process  

  • Ensure that customer, business and compliance needs are prioritised accordingly in the delivery of initiatives 

  • Measure impact of initiatives and identify continuous improvements  

  • Effectively facilitate leadership alignment and influence stakeholders towards the right outcomes 

  • Communicate and escalate requirements for product, process and system enhancements as required 

  • Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders within the team as well as other key internal stakeholders such as Retail Ops, PSU, Frontline, Compliance, Risk to optimise operational effectiveness and efficiency 

 

We're interested in hearing from people who have:  

  • Proven experience in defining a vision and roadmap  

  • Proven experience delivering complex products and services and prioritising accordingly, ideally within an Agile environment 

  • Strong skills in managing and developing teams  

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and from across the group to achieve desired outcomes. 

  • Organisation skills to keep initiatives on track, managing significant change and time pressures 

  • Effective communicator at all levels, internally and externally. Exceptional written / oral communication and negotiation skills. 

  • A desire to champion best practice and innovative customer experiences, engagements and product development 

  • A Risk Management mindset to assess and control an organization’s exposure to risks of various kinds and apply this appropriately to diverse situations
