The Role
We are looking for a passionate Product Owner to lead the development and scaling of our data platform within a modern data mesh architecture. This is a critical role in enabling decentralized data ownership and creating high-value data products. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to drive the roadmap for a scalable, efficient, and cutting-edge data platform.
Our data platform uses Qlik and FiveTran for data ingestion, dbt for transformations, and Amazon Redshift for compute and analytics. As the Product Owner, you will guide the team in delivering innovative solutions to meet the organization’s data needs while ensuring adherence to agile principles.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the data platform, aligned with data mesh principles.
- Collaborate with data engineers to deliver robust data transformations using dbt.
- Drive the development of seamless data ingestion pipelines leveraging Qlik and FiveTran.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into actionable backlog items.
- Lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, ensuring continuous delivery of value.
Who You Are
- Passionate about leading teams to solve complex problems and deliver impactful results.
- Experienced in managing agile product teams with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and focus.
We’d love to hear from people with
- 10+ years of experience in product management or data platform development/testing roles.
- Strong knowledge of dbt for data transformations and modeling.
- Familiarity with ELT workflows using Qlik, FiveTran, and Redshift.
- An understanding of data mesh principles and distributed data architectures.
- Proficiency with agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
