About the Role!

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with proven experience in delivering complex software products to our clients. You will work in an engineering-oriented and fast-paced environment where clarity, ownership, and delivery discipline are essential.

You are expected to support UTC+8 hours for collaboration with development and stakeholder teams. This role requires strong autonomy, the ability to define and manage priorities, and close alignment with both engineering and cross-functional stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of product features from discovery through to release.

This is a hybrid position (office location in Burnaby).

What You'll Do

• Partner with the solution architect and designers to define product requirements and ensure a shared understanding across the development team.
• Leverage design tools to prototype solutions that help outline expected outcomes and guide development.
• Lead an experienced engineering team by setting clear goals, priorities, and delivering well-scoped user stories.
• Ensure the team remains unblocked and delivers consistently against quarterly expectations.
• Maintain a well-groomed product backlog with clear prioritization, up-to-date documentation, and alignment to business objectives.
• Identify and recommend process improvements based on ongoing research into industry best practices.
• Track and report on progress, timeline targets, risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Demo product features to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into iterative development cycles.
• Support collaboration with development teams and stakeholders across GMT+8 time zones.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin, with strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the tech industry, preferably in a product ownership or delivery-focused role.
• Proven ability to identify user needs and translate them into actionable product features.
• A strong understanding of Lean, Agile, and Product Management best practices, product design thinking and usability heuristics 
• Highly self-directed and accountable, with a track record of independently driving work from concept to completion.
• Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback across disciplines to improve outcomes and team collaboration.
• Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada

Nice-to-Haves

• Passion for the video game industry and familiarity with creator platforms or player communities.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Business Management, Computer Science or related field
• PMP or Agile-related certification is a plus.
