Our dispatch solutions empower police, fire rescue, and emergency services to coordinate rapid responses when lives are on the line. Job Description

As a Product Owner for ASTRO Consoles, you will pivot away from purely managing technical execution to become a market-focused, outcome-driven leader. In this role, you own the strategic value and commercial success of your assigned product pillar. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will define the "why" behind our features, identify untapped market opportunities, ensure your team's development efforts directly align with customer growth and market adoption. You will partner with Product Management to validate customer needs and act as a commercial champion for your product, ensuring engineering efforts are directly tied to measurable business value and market adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Product Lifecycle: Move beyond backlog management. Lead the full lifecycle of your product pillar, from identifying market opportunities and defining the value proposition to ensuring delivery aligns with business outcomes, justifying prioritization decisions with data and research.

  • Market-Driven Innovation: Partner with Product Management to identify and validate new product opportunities. Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to ensure our console capabilities outpace industry standards.

  • Value Proposition Translation: Act as the strategic bridge between market reality and engineering constraints. Clearly communicate the business and customer value of upcoming features to Sales, Support, and Clients, ensuring development efforts are prioritized against clear return-on-investment criteria.

  • Outcome-Based Delivery: Transition your team's focus from output velocity to measurable business outcomes, utilizing modern goal-setting frameworks (like OKRs) to drive development.

  • Transparent Communication: Comfortably present roadmap progress, customer impact metrics, and product demonstrations to both senior executives and diverse global stakeholders in written, verbal and presentation formats, leveraging data and appropriate visuals.

  • Design & UX Focus: Collaborate with UI/UX and research teams to ensure that new console workflows are not just functional, but highly usable, reducing cognitive load for operators working in high-stress control rooms.

Basic Requirements
  • Firm understanding of software design, user interaction, and user interface design

  • Deep technical knowledge in software development methodologies such as Agile / Scrum / SaFE and Kanban

  • Experience utilizing product and project management tools such as Jira, Figma, Confluence

  • Comfortable experimenting with AI supported workflows

  • Align with the enhanced focus on prioritizing and developing important aspects of mission critical products, such as availability, reliability, and stability

  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Polished presentation skills for internal and external audiences

  • Proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems

  • Strong ability to research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform product strategy.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, multi-continental team environment.

Would be a plus:

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience within the Public Safety or mission-critical communication industry is highly desirable.

  • Product-Led Experience: Experience in a product-led organization, with a focus on outcome-based delivery rather than just output management.

  • Leading and Influencing: Proven ability to motivate and lead cross-functional, diverse teams using remote tools utilizing OKR methodology
