Position Summary

The Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for translating product strategy into compelling marketing materials that support successful product launches and ongoing product promotion. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role partners closely with Product Managers to understand product features, target markets, customer pain points, and competitive advantages, then develops the marketing content, creative assets, and launch deliverables that bring products to market. 

The Product Marketing Specialist does not own the company's Go-to-Market Strategy or the Product Go-to-Market document. Instead, this role develops and executes the marketing launch plan while creating the customer-facing content and sales enablement materials needed to support successful product introductions and ongoing product promotion. 

Your Core Accountabilities:

Product Marketing & Launch Planning 

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Product Managers to support successful product introductions. 
  • Develop and manage the marketing launch plan for new product introductions in alignment with the company's Go-to-Market Strategy. 
  • Translate product information into clear customer-focused messaging and value propositions. 
  • Coordinate marketing deliverables required for product launches across all marketing channels. 
  • Develop launch timelines for marketing activities and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. 
  • Support ongoing product lifecycle marketing after launch through updated messaging and promotional content. 

Product Content Development 

  • Develop and maintain product datasheets, brochures, solution briefs, application guides, and product catalogs. 
  • Create compelling website product pages and product descriptions. 
  • Develop customer success stories, case studies, application notes, and white papers. 
  • Create product presentations and educational materials. 
  • Ensure all product marketing content remains current, accurate, and aligned with product updates. 

Sales Enablement 

  • Develop customer-facing sales collateral and presentations. 
  • Create product comparison guides and competitive battle cards. 
  • Produce product launch materials for internal sales teams. 
  • Develop product training resources that support Sales and channel partners. 
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify additional marketing assets needed throughout the product lifecycle. 

Creative Development 

  • Design and produce marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design software. 
  • Create product graphics, infographics, diagrams, presentations, digital assets, and print collateral. 
  • Ensure consistent branding across all product marketing materials. 
  • Coordinate larger creative projects with external agencies or design partners when appropriate. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to understand product features, technical specifications, customer benefits, competitive differentiators, and market opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to ensure technical accuracy of marketing materials. 
  • Work with the Marketing Communications & Events Specialist to provide product messaging, content, graphics, and creative assets needed for campaigns, social media, public relations, website updates, and events. 
  • Support continuous improvement of product messaging based on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights.

Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. 
    • 1-3 years of experience in product marketing, marketing communications, or B2B marketing. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Strong ability to translate technical information into customer-focused messaging. 
    • Experience creating marketing collateral and sales enablement materials. 
    • Basic to intermediate graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Canva, or equivalent. 
    • Strong project management and organizational skills. 
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Management, Sales, and Engineering teams. 
    • Proficiency using AI to improve the efficiency of research, competitive analysis, and the creation of product marketing content while ensuring technical accuracy, brand consistency, and quality. 
  • Preferred 
    • Experience marketing industrial technology, healthcare technology, embedded computing, or related B2B products. 
    • Experience supporting product launches. 
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools. 
    • Knowledge of SEO/AEO best practices for product content.

Skills Required
