The opportunity

We're currently looking for a Product Marketing Lifecycle Manager. Someone to join our Commercial Operations team in order to drive lifecycle planning and execution across our product portfolio. Someone with a passion for bringing products to market, an interest in cross-functional collaboration, and a desire to create alignment between commercial objectives, market needs, and product strategy.

As part of the Commercial organization, you will play a key role in ensuring successful lifecycle activities across markets and functions. You will act as a central coordinator between headquarters, regions, and markets, driving alignment, transparency, and progress throughout the product lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple stakeholders while contributing to the successful planning and execution of product launches and lifecycle updates.

This position is located at Gothenburg, Sweden. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time, and support, to do what needs to be done. And to enjoy doing it, of course.

The responsibilities

In this role, you'll be expected to lead lifecycle planning activities and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution of product lifecycle initiatives. Working as a member of the Commercial Operations team, you'll be instrumental in creating alignment across markets, functions, and regions while driving continuous improvement across launch and lifecycle processes.

See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the planning process for model year changes, ensuring plans are aligned with commercial objectives, market requirements, and sales targets.

  • Drive lifecycle updates across Marketing & Communications and act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders, with support from the Product Marketing Lead.

  • Act as the voice of the markets, ensuring alignment between Polestar HQ, regions, and markets on launch planning and lifecycle activities.

  • Secure and monitor detailed cross-functional plans, track key milestones and deliverables, and proactively escalate risks and challenges to relevant decision-making forums.

  • Conduct follow-up analyses and lessons learned activities, facilitate issue resolution, and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle process.

The ideal candidate

In order to succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, there are a few characteristics you'll need to have. Tenacity. Flexibility. Curiosity. The ability to take initiative, navigate complexity, and build alignment across a broad stakeholder landscape. You are comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic planning with operational execution, and communicating effectively with stakeholders across functions, regions, and markets. You enjoy coordinating initiatives across multiple teams and translating plans into successful delivery.

In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:

  • Strong project management experience, enabling effective planning, coordination, and execution of complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience from the automotive industry, including involvement in vehicle launch projects and product lifecycle activities.

  • Proven experience managing stakeholders across global, multi-market organizations and decentralized operating environments.

  • Strong marketing competence and understanding of commercial planning processes, supporting successful product lifecycle execution.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience preparing presentations, reports, and project documentation to support stakeholder alignment and decision-making.
