About Kernel

AI agents are starting to do sales, procurement and operations work. They need to know which company they are dealing with.

Most company data is in CRMs, ERPs and third-party datasets. Records are duplicated, parent companies are missing, and addresses are outdated. This costs sales teams revenue and leaves operations and finance teams with avoidable risk and bad debt. Agents need a business identity layer they can trust.

Kernel is building that layer: the business registry for agents. Every business gets a permanent KERN ID, along with the context an agent needs to act on it. Ops, data and revenue teams at Gong, Legora, Mistral, Canva and Checkout already use Kernel in their own systems, and we expect agents to use it far more.

We have raised $14M from top VCs and operators at Plaid, OpenAI, Slack and others, and we are growing 5x YoY.

The role

You’ll be Kernel’s Product Marketing Lead, building product marketing from the ground up. There’s a lot of potential here, and you’ll set the direction.

Your mission: make Kernel easy to understand and easy to buy, for customers and for the partners who sell it.

What you’ll do
  • Own positioning and narrative: for customers we sell to directly and for our partners.

  • Write the technical story: work with Anders, Marcus, and Zak on product positioning and technical documentation.

  • Own announcements and launches: plan each one and get it out.

  • Equip sales: work with the sales team on messaging, demos and battlecards.

  • Build our social proof: case studies and customer references.

  • 5% “other stuff”: events, the website and anything else that helps the business.

What we’re looking for
  • Most important is product marketing experience at a high-growth startup and examples of work that had a real impact on the business.

  • You have written technical content before.

  • You have led large projects such as a launch or a repositioning, and set the plan yourself.

  • You work fast and closely with sales and the founders.

  • You have taste and you execute well.

  • Experience with video content is a plus but not a requirement.

⚠️ This role may not be for you if you:
  • Need other product marketers around you to work best.

  • Prefer to be handed a brief than to write one.

  • Need perfect clarity before starting.

  • Prefer long cycles and big “reveals.”

  • Want fully remote work (we move faster in-person).

What We Offer

We will do our best to offer you a ride of a lifetime. It will not be easy, but it will be thrilling.

  • 💰 Salary: £90,000 – £120,000 base + equity

  • 🗓️ 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays

  • 🥕 £450 Monthly Office Dinner Allowance

  • ✈️ 2 weeks work-from-anywhere

  • 🍼 Generous parental leave policy

  • 💼 Pension plan

  • 💻 Top-spec equipment and central London office

  • 🎉 Team events and dinners

  • 🚀 Work directly with the founders to scale the systems that power enterprise AI

  • 🏆 High-autonomy, high-trust environment with a small team shipping at pace

🎫 Visas & Relocation

We sponsor visas for exceptional candidates and provide relocation support for those moving to London.

Interview Process

Stage 1: Introductory Call with Zak, Founding Growth (30 minutes)

Stage 2: Case Study with Zak & Anders (CEO)

Final Stage: Founders Interview. A conversation with the founders focused on values alignment and long-term vision.

Following Mutual Fit: Reference checks and offer stage.

Skills Required

  • Product marketing experience at a high-growth startup
  • Examples of product marketing work that had a measurable business impact
  • Experience writing technical content
  • Experience leading large projects such as product launches or repositioning initiatives
  • Ability to independently create plans and operate with high autonomy
  • Ability to work closely and quickly with sales and founders
  • Experience with video content
