The Product Manager

Product Manager responsible for execution of strategic initiatives and P&L performance of their specific products.  Must be a strong leader who has the willingness and ability to drive a cross-functional team towards that goal.

 

Key Objectives

  • Strategy Development: Develop, communicate, and lead the execution of the product line strategy
  • Enable and drive robust road map that adheres market demands and encompasses total cost of ownership into a feasible business strategy
  • Commercial Ownership: Manage product pricing and define and drive the execution of profitability improvement projects via business development, cost reductions, manufacturing footprints, etc.

 

Strategy Development

  • Own and analyze the understanding of market, industry, and competitive trends in the development of the overall product line direction
  • Develop robust view of direct and indirect competition, competitor value proposition, and competitor road maps.
  • Drive development and execution of strategic product/technology road maps in strong partnership with Engineering with the overall primary goal of maximizing business growth, profitability and differentiation
  • Own prioritization and business case development of advanced projects aligned with the long-range 5 year revenue plan
  • Drive competitive bench marking activities
  • Focus team towards strategic priorities
  • Engage with M&A synergy and business case analysis and assessments
  • Own Total Available Market model

 

Commercial Development

  • Drive alignment between strategy and commercial process (long-range revenue and profitability commitment, budget commitments of profitability improvements, footprint alignment, line utilization, etc.) through leading business opportunities through Stoneridge’s quote and business case process
  • Ensure competitive cost structures by working with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, finance, and operations to develop targets and corresponding improvement plans
  • Manage advanced development product life cycle to ensure that the business is consistently driving improved profitability across all assigned product segments
  • Drive and monitor cost improvement initiatives as a lever to manage P&L by working cross-functionally with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing/Operations.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Demonstrated financial acumen as it relates to business direction
  • 5+ years of global business development experience.  Technical degree preferably in engineering (electrical, software, systems, mechanical)
  • In-depth understanding of B2B product marketing and demonstrated ability to generate new market leads and opportunities in-line with the strategic plan
  • Direct experience in development of strategic product/technology road maps and product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team in a matrix organization
  • Direct experience with cameras, monitors and peripherals
  • Demonstrated technical understanding and a high degree of analytical capability.
  • Ability to collect/synthesize/interpret data and recommend direction; ability to challenge assumptions in a data driven fashion.
  • Excellent communication and customer presentation skills and results oriented.
  • You need to have a valid work visa for The Netherlands/hybrid working is possible.

  • Prove of strategy development ownership
  • Prove of supporting RFQ's for products in series production
  • Technical knowledge to "peer" with Product Development

What we offer:

  • Salary based on knowledge and experience.
  • Full-time employment of 40 hours per week / Hybrid is possible/ for example 3 weeks remote and 1 week on location Barneveld
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometers one way up to a maximum of 50 km
  • CAO: Metalektro HP                                                 
  • Retirement: PME (Pensioenfonds Metalektro).
  • WIA: WIA-bodem, WGA-hiaat en WGA- hiaat additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
  • PAWW: Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires.
  • Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full-time).
  • ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full-time).
