Do the work that matters:

The Product Manager role is key to delivering customer focused outcomes for the CommSec Product & Investing Solutions Crew. You will report to the Chapter Lead for Product Management and join the Equities Core Platform Squad.  As an experienced Product Manager, you’ll be an innovative thinker and a self-starter and use your product management expertise to work with the squad and deliver best-in-class product solutions to our customers.

You will also be responsible for creating processes to ensure sound change management while acting as an SME on initiatives and changes being rolled out.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Product Management: Monitor the marketplace, with attention to direct competitors, to assess industry trends and results in order to recommend new products or features.

  • Customer experience: drive continuous improvement in the customer experience by performing in depth reviews of complaints and breakpoints, refining product features and benefits, and optimising the digital experience.

  • Innovation & Problem Solving: Showcase a strong human centred design mindset to address customer needs, by ensuring that product solutions are resonating, user-focused and aligned with customers’ expectations. Identify and assess industry trends, customer needs, competitive offerings and emerging technologies.

  • Process improvement: evaluate and address process inefficiencies and breakpoints, creating and implementing solutions that streamline processes and enhance efficient operations and improve NPS.

  • Product Governance and Risk Management: take ownership of managing regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, timely escalations and swift resolution of issues with a focus on leveraging/ identifying opportunities for automation. Ensure our products meet all applicable regulatory requirements, supporting regulatory requests.

  • Data driven decision making: use product performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and adapt the product roadmap as necessary.

  • Cross functional collaboration: partner effectively with cross functional teams, including technology, finance, marketing, compliance, and distribution to ensure seamless product feature delivery.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • 4+ years product management experience with a strategic mindset coupled with proven problem-solving skills

  • Experience in the industry, with knowledge of the regulatory and competitive landscape, particularly within the stockbroking sector (highly regarded) or​ in financial services

  • Advanced communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and effectively to audiences, including cross-functional teams

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to build relationships within and outside of the domain

  • Proven track record of understanding and enhancing the customer journey

  • Experience in delivering outcomes in an Agile environment, working in partnership with a team of engineers and technology SMEs

  • Ability to analyse and use data to inform key business decisions

  • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and ability to work flexibly through change

  • Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree Preferred. RG146 accreditation will be highly regarded.
