Senior Product Manager (Silicon)

Tropic Square is a deep-tech company developing the world’s first transparent, auditable security chip.

We have successfully built TROPIC01, a transparent security chip demo validated by industry leaders such as Trezor. Now, we are embarking on our most ambitious mission: building TROPIC02. This is not a SaaS product. This is a piece of silicon that will take three years to develop, cost millions to tape out, and redefine hardware security for the next decade.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who can bridge the gap between our visionary founders, deep-tech engineers, and the global B2B market.

• Own the TROPIC02 Product Family Roadmap: You’ll translate high-level vision and customer requirements into detailed product requirements for the engineering team. You define what we build and for whom

• Market Validation (Market Making): You won't wait for the chip to exist. You’ll talk to CTOs and Security Architects of potential enterprise customers (IoT, automotive, edge computing) now to validate features, present demos and secure LOIs (Letters of Intent)

• Roadmap Discipline: In silicon, missing a tape-out window costs millions. You’ll own the high-level roadmap, ensuring we hit critical milestones (architecture freeze, tape-out, certification)

• Ecosystem & Open Source: You’ll define not just the hardware, but the ecosystem around it (SDKs, documentation, open source strategy) that makes the chip usable for developers

• Strategic Alignment: You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with our founders (Stick & Slush) to ensure the product stays true to our core values of transparency and freedom

• Silicon DNA: You have 5+ years of experience in semiconductor / hardware product management. You understand terms like tape-out, MPW, RISC-V, EDA, FPGA prototyping, supply chain

• Engineering Background: You started as a hardware engineer or embedded developer. You can read a datasheet and hold your ground in a debate with our chief architect

• B2B / Enterprise Experience: You understand how complex technology is sold to businesses. You know that the "customer" is often a procurement officer, while the "user" is a developer

• Strategic Mindset: You can balance the "cool factor" (what engineers want to build) with the "business reality" (what customers will pay for)

• Experience in security or cryptography (Common Criteria, secure elements, HSMs) will help you ramp up faster

• Exposure to open-source hardware ecosystems is beneficial

• Prior startup experience, especially shipping a hardware product from concept to mass production, is a plus

• Legacy: You will be the "Father/Mother" of a product that challenges the secretive status quo of the chip industry

• Autonomy: You report directly to the CEO. No middle management. You shape the product strategy
