The Role

Develop the commercial strategies of the group of products under your charge, in alignment with Gowan's strategy, vision, values and goals, which allow achieving the objectives established each year and the sustainability of the business; continuously monitoring the market and developing tools for the sales force; also getting involved in the construction of the future business through the development of new materials that consolidate the portfolio and market share of the products under its belt.

Position Activities:

  • Strategic Planning: Establish and achieve the goals of the products under your responsibility, both in the short and medium term. 
  • Align your activities with the company and corporate goals. 
  • Project Evaluation: Decide which projects will be integrated into the new business platform based on their potential and strategic alignment. 
  • Preparation and Coordination of Marketing Plans: Make the most important marketing plans that will serve as a guide and execution. 
  • Market Intelligence: Have and organize market information for decision making and measurement of results. 
  • Business Development and Commercial Strategies: Support short-term results and generate the greatest possible value for the company and its Clients. 
  • Results Monitoring and Operational Planning: Measure progress and make appropriate adjustments. 
  • Optimize the use of marketing department resources. 
  • Development of Sales Tools: create useful sales tools to achieve commercial objectives and product positioning. 
  • Supplier Relationship Management: have high-level relationships with suppliers and reduce strategic risks.
  • Supervision of Technical Specialists: direct the personnel under their charge and achieve their objectives through them.
  • Training: train clients and staff on the use, handling and benefits of the products. 

Education:

  • Agricultural Engineer or qualified agribusiness. 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Languages: 90% English
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a similar position. 
  • Excellent service attitude, initiative and treatment of internal and external clients. 
  •  Organized and dynamic. 
  • Use and management of agrochemicals, business knowledge, understanding of marketing concepts, sales, regulations, strategic planning and public relations. Knowledge of the area both in the field and in relationships with potential clients. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. (English/ Spanish). 
  • Experience in project analysis, costs and budgeting. 
  • Knowledge of market strategy, segmentation and positioning. 
  • Presentations for audiences of different sizes and training of work teams. 
  • Excellent attitude towards teamwork and service to internal and external clients. 
  • Experience launching new products or rejuvenating existing products. 
  • Entrepreneurial attitude. 
  • Ability to work with others to build consensus. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to visit Gowan sales group and customers; mainly domestic trips.
