About Dili

Dili is a YC-backed, Series A startup using AI to automate compliance and due diligence for the industrial economy, starting with prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance.

Our platform helps developers, EPCs, contractors, and compliance teams manage complex labor requirements across energy, data center, infrastructure, manufacturing, and construction projects. Dili turns payroll records, regulations, and fragmented project data into clear compliance results, helping customers pass audits, protect funding, and keep projects moving.

Dili was founded by Anand Chaturvedi and Brian Fernandez, both formerly at Coinbase. After seeing how much critical work remained trapped in spreadsheets, PDFs, and manual review, they started Dili to build better software for managing complex compliance work across physical industries.

The Role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to own meaningful areas of Dili’s product from discovery through launch and iteration.

You’ll work directly with customers, engineers, designers, compliance experts, go-to-market teams, and the founders. Your job will be to understand difficult operational and regulatory problems, determine which ones are worth solving, and turn them into products customers can rely on.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, customer-driven environment. You’ll talk to users, analyze workflows and data, write clear product requirements, make tradeoffs with engineering, test what the team builds, and measure whether it worked.

You should be comfortable moving between product strategy and detailed execution. You’ll be expected to develop a point of view on where Dili can create the most customer and business value, while also taking responsibility for getting the final product across the finish line.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the roadmap, priorities, and outcomes for one or more areas of the product, such as onboarding, compliance workflows, audit readiness, or reporting.

  • Talk to customers regularly, observe real workflows, and distinguish recurring product problems from one-off requests.

  • Turn ambiguous customer, business, and regulatory needs into clear problem statements, requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Develop a point of view on where Dili should invest and help shape product direction beyond the immediate request queue.

  • Work closely with engineering and design to scope work, make tradeoffs, resolve open questions, and keep projects moving.

  • Triage product issues and requests, prioritize them by impact, and keep stakeholders aligned on what is being built and why.

  • Test new functionality, identify edge cases, coordinate launches, and make sure the finished product solves the intended problem.

  • Analyze product usage and operational data to identify friction, validate assumptions, and measure the impact of launches.

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Compliance, and Operations to improve customer outcomes and reduce operational burden.

  • Help establish lightweight product processes that give the team clarity without slowing it down.

What Success Looks LikeFirst 30 Days

Learn the product and compliance domain hands-on. Join customer calls, review support issues, shadow internal teams, and understand how customers manage projects from onboarding through closeout.

Begin independently triaging incoming issues and requests, and ship a small improvement or fix to build context and momentum.

By 60 Days

Take ownership of a meaningful product area or workflow. Develop a clear understanding of its users, recurring problems, product gaps, and priorities.

Begin leading discovery, writing specifications, improving backlog quality, and coordinating delivery with engineering and design.

By 90 Days

Ship a customer-facing product improvement from discovery through launch, with clear measures of success such as faster onboarding, reduced support burden, greater adoption, or improved time to value.

Establish a roadmap for your area and become the person the team relies on to make informed product decisions within it.

Qualifications
  • Experience independently owning and shipping a software product or meaningful product area.

  • Strong product judgment and the ability to identify the underlying problem behind a customer request.

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.

  • Comfortable working directly with customers, particularly around complex workflows.

  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and discussing technical constraints and tradeoffs.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to investigate problems and make decisions.

  • Able to turn ambiguity into structure and move work forward without waiting for perfect information.

  • Willing to get into the details, test the product yourself, and take responsibility for the final result.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities change as the company learns.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, enterprise software, workflow products, or vertical software.

  • Experience in compliance, construction, energy, infrastructure, payroll, fintech, or another regulated industry.

  • Experience working with SQL, APIs, data models, data pipelines, or AI-enabled products.

  • Experience building products involving complex rules, documents, data, or multi-party workflows.

  • Experience working at an early-stage startup.

Benefits and Working Style
  • Competitive salary and equity.

  • Meaningful ownership over an important area of the product.

  • Direct access to customers, founders, and company decision-making.

  • The opportunity to solve difficult product problems with measurable real-world consequences.

  • A hybrid culture based in our Union Square office, with four in-office days per week.
