The Product Manager at iDream Education sits at the intersection of product, design, engineering, and the field. You will define what gets built, ensure it is built right, and make sure it solves real problems for the students, teachers, and administrators who use our products every day.
You will work across both internal tools and the iPrep suite of products — partnering closely with design, engineering, ops, content, and sales, as well as with field counterparts — leading roadmap planning and prioritisation in close partnership with the founders.
Own the Spec Layer
- Translate requests from ops, content, sales, and marketing into clear, structured product requirements before they reach engineering.
- Define acceptance criteria, timelines, and priorities for every piece of work entering the engineering pipeline.
- Eliminate ambiguity as a default — no ticket moves to development without a written spec.
Bridge Design and Engineering
- Work closely with the design team to drive iterations to finality — own sign-off gates so engineering always builds against confirmed designs.
- Be the single point of accountability for design-to-development handoffs.
- Reduce rework by making design decisions explicit and time-bound.
Stakeholder Interface
- Be the primary point of contact for internal teams — ops, content, sales, marketing — channelling their needs into the product process.
- Interface with field counterparts and school-level stakeholders to surface ground realities and unvoiced user needs.
- Represent product context clearly across very different audiences — from engineers to field coordinators.
Roadmap Planning and Prioritisation
- Lead roadmap planning in close partnership with the founders — synthesising inputs from internal teams, field signals, and usage data.
- Identify unvoiced opportunities: gaps that no one is articulating yet but that the data or field context reveals.
- Work with our data analysts to bring usage evidence into prioritisation discussions — not just instinct.
Education: Graduate in any discipline; a background in Product Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with a strong track record in product management, product strategy, or cross-functional product development will also be considered regardless of their specific degree.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in a technology, SaaS, EdTech, or digital product environment. A proven track record includes successfully defining product requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving product launches, and delivering measurable business and user outcomes through data-driven product decisions.
Other Requirements: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet product delivery timelines. Strong collaboration with engineering, design, business, and other stakeholders is essential. This is primarily an office-based role located in Gurugram, Haryana, with minimal travel as required for customer interactions, workshops, or business meetings.
- 3–5 years of total relevant experience, with at least 1–2 years directly in a product team (as PM, Associate PM, Business Analyst, or similar adjacent role).
- You have been a member of a product team — you understand how good product development works from the inside, even if PM wasn’t your exact title.
- You write with structure and clarity. Your specs, briefs, and updates leave no room for misinterpretation.
- You are comfortable with data — you can pull the right numbers, read them honestly, and use them to make a case or change your mind.
- You thrive in environments where influence matters more than authority. You can align people who don’t report to you.
- You are energised by working closely with founders — you see it as an advantage, not a constraint.
- You genuinely care about the problem: quality education reaching every child, regardless of where they grow up.
- You are coachable and self-aware — you know what you don’t know, and you’re not threatened by it.
- Integrity: Makes transparent, data-driven product decisions and takes ownership of outcomes.
- Impact: Builds products that solve real customer problems and drive measurable business value.
- Excellence: Continuously improves the product through user insights, data, and innovation.
- Collaboration: Works seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product outcomes.
This is a high-ownership role at the center of our product development, where your work directly bridges the gap between field realities and engineering execution. You will partner closely with the founders to shape the roadmap of the iPrep suite, ensuring our products solve real-world problems for students and teachers across India. Join us to build, measure, and scale solutions that make "Unlimited Learning" a reality for every child, while advancing your product leadership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
