Overview

First Resonance is seeking a Product Manager – Supply Chain to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our supply chain and inventory management product capabilities. Modern hardware manufacturers—building rockets, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and clean energy tech—face massive supply chain bottlenecks, traceability challenges, and supplier complexity. You will translate deep supply chain and manufacturing insights into intuitive, high-impact software solutions.

At First Resonance, our product managers operate close to the metal. While deep domain fluency in manufacturing supply chains is our top priority for this role, our PMs are technically hands-on—comfortable analyzing data, building functional prototypes, navigating APIs, and occasionally pushing code. You will join a high-impact product team working directly with engineers, factory planners, procurement teams, and hardware leaders to build the future of industrial software.

Responsibilities & Duties

As a Product Manager focusing on Supply Chain, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our supply chain, procurement, inventory, and traceability modules.

  • Drive Supply Chain Product Strategy: Define and champion the roadmap for supply chain capabilities (e.g., purchase order tracking, vendor management, inventory allocation, lot/serial traceability, and BOM/MRP synchronization) aligned with high-tech hardware manufacturing needs.

  • Solve Intricate Supply Chain Bottlenecks: Partner directly with supply chain directors, procurement leads, inventory managers, and manufacturing engineers to deeply understand operational pains and design elegant software solutions.

  • Bridge Strategy & Technical Delivery: Translate complex hardware supply chain logic into clear technical specs, wireframes, and functional prototypes. Work closely with engineering to build, test, and ship high-quality features fast.

  • Hands-on Execution: Engage in modern, technical product development workflows, including building functional prototypes, running data queries, and contributing directly to the product codebase when needed.

  • Champion User-Centric Design: Conduct field research, iterative prototyping, and user acceptance testing with factory and supply chain teams to simplify complex, legacy workflows.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze user behavior, inventory flow metrics, and customer feedback to measure feature impact, validate new product hypotheses, and optimize customer outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate across Engineering, Product Design, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure our supply chain offerings deliver measurable ROI and seamless onboarding for customers.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Supply Chain Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related technical fields, with exposure to software development environments.

  • Deep Domain Understanding: Strong knowledge of manufacturing supply chain operations (e.g., procurement workflows, inventory/WMS logic, bill of materials, component traceability, vendor management).

  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with modern software technical concepts, APIs, database/data structure principles, and eager to work in a environment where PMs push code, run scripts, or build functional prototypes.

  • Product Lifecycle Ownership: Proven track record of taking product features from initial customer research and requirements gathering through delivery, launch, and post-release iteration.

  • Systems Thinking: Ability to map out complex multi-party workflows (suppliers, factory floor, inventory managers, engineering) down to edge cases and systemic dependencies.

  • Customer-Centric Communication: Excellent ability to speak fluently with both factory-floor specialists/supply chain directors and software engineers.

  • Adaptability: Thrives in an agile startup environment with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.

Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with hardware/manufacturing supply chain software, such as ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, SAP), MES, PLM, or specialized inventory/procurement systems.

  • Practical coding experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL) or a background in Software/Industrial Engineering.

  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for rapid prototyping, specification drafting, and data analysis.

  • Experience working directly with advanced hardware manufacturing sectors (e.g., aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, or robotics).

Benefits & Perks
  • Health Insurance: medical, vision, dental, & life insurance.

  • Paid Parental Leave.

  • Employee Stock Option Plan.

  • Team outings, group lunches, open office, happy hours.

  • Paid holidays, sick days.

  • Flexible Friday and PTO.

  • 401(k).
