Role Overview:
The Product Manager – Operations owns the “How, When,
and Does it actually work in the real world” of the product. This role ensures
that product vision translates into reliable, scalable, and high-quality
delivery across programs, states, and partners.
You will be responsible for end-to-end execution,
release readiness, product stability, and scale operations, working closely
with Product, Engineering, Tech support, Program, Data, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery & Execution
Ownership
- Own end-to-end product delivery from roadmap →
rollout
- Translate priorities into execution plans, sprint
goals, and delivery milestones
- Ensure predictable delivery across teams and
vendors
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks proactively
2. Release Planning &
Go-Live Readiness
- Define and drive release planning and rollout
strategy
- Establish and enforce go-live criteria, including:
- Product readiness (features,
performance)
- Content readiness
- Program/state readiness (training,
onboarding)
- Ensure 100% readiness before academic/program
cycles
3. Cross-Team Coordination
& Dependency Management
- Manage dependencies across:
- Product
- Engineering
- Tech support
- Program (State, MEL, LxD)
- Vendors / external partners
- Act as the central coordination layer ensuring
alignment and execution velocity
4. Product Stability &
Quality
- Own product quality and stability in production
Ensure alignment on:
- Functional testing, regression, UAT
completeness
- Performance benchmarks (e.g.,
concurrency, latency)
- Define and track product stability metrics
- Drive post-release fixes and continuous
improvements
5. Issue Resolution Systems
- Establish and manage structured issue resolution:
- Ticketing systems with status
tracking
- Clear workflows: raised → in
progress → resolved
- Ensure visibility of issues to program teams and
end users
- Enable bot-based or self-serve support systems
where applicable
6. Scale Readiness &
Change Governance
- Coordinate pilot → scale transitions
- Evaluate system readiness across:
- Product capacity
- Onboarding impact
- Dev team bandwidth
- Define and operationalize change governance
processes
- Review and approve changes before
rollout
- Maintain decision logs
(approved/rejected)
7. Operational Reporting &
Insights
- Build and standardize product health reporting
- Performance metrics
- Usage trends
- Issue patterns
Ensure reports are:
- Consistent
- Actionable
- Accessible to all stakeholders
8. Adoption & Support
Enablement
- Ensure field and user readiness for product
adoption
- Training systems (ToT, refresher
content)
- FAQs, guides, and support workflows
- Work with Program teams to ensure:
- Trainers are prepared
- Field teams can handle real-world
scenarios
Accountable For
- End-to-end delivery and execution predictability
- Release readiness and successful go-lives
- Product stability and quality in production
- Cross-team coordination and dependency management
- Scaled rollouts across states/programs
Requirements
- Strong experience in program delivery
/ product operations / TPM roles
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder
environments
- Deep understanding of:
- Agile delivery
- Release management
- QA and production stability
- Experience working with distributed
teams, vendors, and government/partner ecosystems (preferred)
- Ability to translate ambiguity into
structured execution systems
Benefits
Salary: The pay band for the position
starts at Rs. 1,00,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary
offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the
candidate)
