Position: Product Manager III
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Responsible for problem formulation and solutioning; hypothesis framing; business strategies; business management practices across multiple domains; and customer segments and needs. Support the identification of value creation and Lifetime Value of the product. Demonstrate awareness of problem statements, hypotheses, and prototypes. Demonstrate awareness of assumption testing, validation approaches (for example, paper prototypes, mockups, and POC), and the evaluation of results. Identify customer and business problems; execute design thinking; identify dependencies and impacts on product processes/ways of working; and execute journey mapping, process optimization, and communication and influencing techniques. Understand critical customer needs and preferences. Continuously seek and analyze user feedback for product improvement. Identify possible process improvements to reduce turnaround times and enhance customer experiences. Responsible for product and feature analytics; data analysis tools and techniques; research for analysis activities; documentation procedures (for example, data logs, acquisition cost, conversion rate, adoption, active users, feature usage, user churn, net promoter score, satisfaction, and lifetime value); and modern industry practices and emerging trends. Communicate in one-to-one/stakeholder meetings involving one-two teams. Articulate results/recommendations. Gather reporting requirements from multiple stakeholder groups, including program management, engineering management, accounting, and HR. Write complex data queries to join people and work data using SQL Server T-SQL, and optimize SQL and BI tool performance for fast response time. Analyze internal work and people data from the team, product, and overall organization level, and synthesize results into an overall recommendation and data story for presentation to end users. Responsible for Tech Labor Capitalization work data among Jira, Team Rosters, and Roadmap, and work closely with accounting on data quality testing of finance-related work data. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 3 years of experience in product management; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 1 year of experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience developing complex queries and stored procedures using SQL scripting. Experience building dashboards for data visualization using Tableau. Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis. Experience tracking and managing day to day project work using JIRA. Experience validating REST API calls using SOAP UI and Postman Rest. Experience automating UI testing by building test scripts using Java and Selenium Web Driver tool. Experience building complex queries, common table expression, and stored procedure using SQL server, Oracle, and TOAD. Experience building automated dashboards for data visualization using Tableau and IBM Cognos. Experience managing test case repository, test execution, and defect tracking using HP Quality Center. Experience using JIRA for sprint planning, sprint grooming, and tracking. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure product success. Experience conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis to guide product development and positioning. Experience using one of the following project management software tools: Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project. Experience communicating effectively to articulate product vision and negotiate resources and timelines with stakeholders. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $134,100/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
