Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager – Hand Tools to drive the strategy, development, and management of our hand tools portfolio in the Indian market. The role involves working closely with global product management teams, suppliers, customers, and sales teams to develop competitive product offerings, optimize product performance, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the product roadmap and lifecycle for the hand tools portfolio.

  • Manage product portfolio performance, pricing strategy, profitability, and stock planning.

  • Collaborate with Asia and Global Product Management teams on product development initiatives.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify new business opportunities.

  • Perform detailed pricing analysis and establish effective market positioning.

  • Visit customers alongside sales teams to understand product and service requirements.

  • Support new product introductions, product positioning, and promotional activities.

  • Develop product training materials and conduct training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships, including capability assessments and quality improvements.

  • Analyze sales and market data, prepare reports, and track product performance.

  • Represent the Hand Tools category within the India Product Management team.

  • Travel for customer visits, supplier meetings, trade shows, and industry exhibitions.



Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience
  • Proven experience in Product Management within hand tools, industrial tools, metrology, or related industries.

  • Experience working with manufacturing companies or trading organizations is mandatory.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of hand tools, manufacturing processes, forging, machining, and materials.

  • Expertise in product lifecycle management, pricing strategies, and portfolio management.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, sales analysis, and profitability calculations.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Fluent business English (written and spoken).

  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional and service-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments.

  • Willingness to travel frequently for business requirements.
