About Tapestry

As the Product Manager for Computations, you will lead the product roadmaps to incorporate and develop cutting-edge algorithms for grid decision-making. You are expected to act as an incubator for next-generation computational technologies, identifying and scaling innovations that redefine industry benchmarks. Your mission is to support building a comprehensive suite of computational capabilities  that empowers both power users and AI agents to solve the industry's most difficult problems..

How you will make 10X Impact:

  • Innovation Incubation & Launch: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of breakthrough computational engines. Partner with Research and Engineering to transform high-potential experiments into production-ready platform features that deliver massive performance gains for grid-scale simulations and optimizations.
  • Product Roadmap & Strategy: Define the long-term vision and product roadmap for Tapestry’s simulation and algorithmic capabilities. Prioritize feature development based on application needs, market impact, technical feasibility, and customer urgency. Translate high-level mission goals into actionable engineering milestones for the simulation team.
  • Drive Algorithmic Excellence: Collaborate with engineering to define requirements and roadmaps. Oversee the evolution of core simulation engines, ensuring they meet the performance and accuracy requirements for Tapestry’s priority use cases. Evaluate trade-offs in algorithmic approaches for different applications.
  • Ensure Product Suite and Partner Alignment: Engage with PMs who are building applications for utilities, system operators, and data center developers to understand their roadmaps and requirements and incorporate them into algorithm development plans. Act as a subject matter expert to ensure that our algorithmic capabilities align with regulatory and industry standards.

What you should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science with experience in power systems
  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Proven success building and shipping software products
  • Proven experience and technical fluency in defining, building, and scaling algorithms .

It’d be great if you also had one or more of these:

  • Deep expertise in power systems engineering and/or optimization
  • Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and working with utilities or ISOs a plus
  • Experience with grid enhancement technologies (GET), or power systems control a plus
  • Track record of innovation, eg patents and published research in power systems.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or founding startups in the energy space.
  • Technical fluency in grid modeling, simulations, and advanced power electronics.
  • A strong communicator capable of representing complex technical products to both internal and external audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000 - $245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
