Your role
As a Product Manager at Munich Electrification, you will play a crucial role in leading the business development activities and the offering process: defining technical concepts, estimating development efforts, and ensuring seamless transitions from acquisition to project execution. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying suitable products for customer projects, and aligning product strategy with organizational goals.

Your future tasks at a glance

  • Lead the technical part of business development activities: Review RFQ's and define suitable ME products with respect to the ME product strategy & represent ME as a technical leader and innovative company towards customers and prospective clients.
  • Define new products and product roadmap based on identified market trends and needs.
  • Lead the effort estimation & provide holistic cost estimation for business case evaluations and commercial offers: Development efforts & resource assessment, validation & testing concepts
  • Define the technical and industrialization concept for quotes together with the Chief Technical Officer and the Chief Operation Officer
  • Identify business cases and align product strategies in R&D and provide feedback to the Chief Technical Office and Chief Growth Officer
  • Identify the most suitable products for the customer (carry-over vs new development) in alignment with the ME product strategy
  • Facilitate a seamless transition from the acquisition phase to project execution

What you bring with you

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Demonstrated expertise in technical product management within HV batteries or related industries (+5 years)
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of battery management systems principles, product development processes and project management methodologies relevant to battery technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in evaluating business cases specific to battery management systems and making data-driven decisions in the context of BMS solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and representing the organization's BMS capabilities to external partners and customers.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment inherent to battery technologies, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving industry standards, customer requirements, and technological advancements in the BMS domain.
