Role Purpose:
The Product Manager – Experience owns the “What and Why” of the product. This role ensures that the product is solving the right problems, for the right users, in the right way, by translating user needs, program context, and learning outcomes into meaningful product experiences.
You will work closely with Product Manager Ops, LxD, UX, Research, Analytics, and Program teams to define journeys, shape solutions, continuously improve user outcomes, and drive the validation of innovations from concept through scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead problem definition grounded in user, program, and field realities
Identify key user needs, constraints, and opportunity areas
Translate ambiguity into clear problem statements and solution directions
Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and field immersions to validate problem statements
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable product opportunities
Ensure product opportunities are rooted in real learner, educator, and ecosystem needs
Own end-to-end user journeys (Explore → Decide → Learn → Transition)
Define experience flows, interaction patterns, and product principles
Ensure coherence across touchpoints (app, content, support systems)
Continuously identify friction points and opportunities to improve engagement, retention, and outcomes
Advocate for learner and educator needs throughout the product lifecycle
Create PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Define scope and success criteria for features and journeys
Collaborate with Engineering to ensure clarity and feasibility
Ensure requirements clearly articulate the user problem, desired outcome, and success measures
Support delivery teams in making informed trade-offs while preserving user value
Prioritize product roadmap based on:

Learning outcomes
Strategic goals
Evidence generated through research and experimentation
Balance short-term delivery with long-term product direction
Continuously reassess priorities based on user behaviour, product performance, and emerging insights
Align stakeholders around product priorities and trade-offs
Work with MEL & Analytics to define:
Learning outcomes
Behavioural indicators
Success metrics across journeys
Ensure product decisions are data-informed
Define success measures and evidence requirements for new features and initiatives
Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, usability studies, pilots, and product experiments
Define experiment success criteria and measurement frameworks in partnership with Analytics and MEL teams
Analyze user behaviour, feedback, and product data to validate hypotheses
Translate findings into recommendations for product improvements, refinements, or pivots
Build a culture of evidence-based product decision-making
Work closely with Program, Analytics, Knowledge Hub, and Product Operations teams to operationalize Quest’s Innovation Framework across new and existing products
Lead product contributions to innovation stage-gates, validation activities, and evidence reviews
Apply Build, Co-Design, Embed, and Step-Aside decision frameworks when evaluating new opportunities
Define MVP assumptions, learning questions, and validation criteria for innovations
Partner with Analytics and MEL teams to establish adoption, engagement, learning, and impact measures at each stage of validation
Use experimentation, pilots, and evidence gathering to determine whether innovations should be accelerated, validated further, replicated, redesigned, or discontinued
Contribute to innovation reviews, portfolio assessments, and stage-gate decision making
Diagnose whether observed challenges are driven by product design, content design, implementation quality, or a combination of factors, and design approaches to isolate root causes
Ensure high-quality user experience across journeys
Maintain consistency, usability, accessibility, and engagement standards
Work with Design and LxD teams to continuously refine experiences
Monitor product and experience health indicators to identify improvement opportunities
Champion simplicity, clarity, and usability in all product decisions, particularly for low-resource environments
Required Experience & Skills:
6+ years of experience working in product development for learning applications
Strong experience in product discovery, UX-driven product development, and experimentation-led product improvement
Demonstrated experience conducting user research and translating insights into product decisions
Demonstrated experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests, usability studies, pilots, or other product validation experiments
Experience taking products, features, or innovations from concept through validation and scale
Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable product decisions
Experience using behavioural, engagement, and learning data to inform prioritization and product strategy
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Design, LxD, Analytics, Engineering, Program)
Ability to distinguish between product, content, and implementation challenges using evidence and data
Familiarity with innovation frameworks, MVP validation approaches, experimentation methods, and stage-gate product development
Strong problem structuring, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Comfort working in ambiguous, evolving environments
Experience working in education, skilling, employability, youth development, or social impact contexts is preferred
Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 1,00,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)

Skills Required
- Strong experience in product management, user experience, service design, EdTech, or outcome-driven product roles
- Proven ability to lead product discovery and prioritization
- Deep understanding of user research and product discovery, user experience design, product analytics, engagement and retention frameworks
- Experience translating user needs and organizational goals into product roadmaps
- Strong ability to use qualitative and quantitative data for product decisions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, and Program
