About the role
As AI continues to transform the landscape of R&D, Springer Nature is dedicated to empowering researchers, scientists and engineers with a comprehensive portfolio of Data and AI solutions. These offerings enable users to unlock the full potential of data and information in the pursuit of innovation.
We are looking for a Product Manager to represent the data and AI product portfolio across China, Mongolia, and South Korea. This customer-facing role is crucial in driving business development, product management, and providing technical support to ensure sustainable revenue growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate GTM and ensure successful product adoption and lifecycle management.
Role Responsibilities
Commercial Development:
Work with commercial teams on growing AI licensing revenue, such as product demo, prospect identification, solution proposal, training, usage report, user technical support, etc.
Support leaders in structuring and negotiating complex data licensing and strategic partnership agreements
Develop and validate value proposition and use cases to facilitate commercial offering in partnership with marketing and business development teams
Collaborate with legal, sales, content, technology, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of licensing agreements and product launches.
Manage existing licensee customers, analyze performance and provide recommendations for sustainable partnership
Represent other products and solutions as line manager pointed
Product Strategy:
Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends in AI and data licensing
Build and manage relationships with Corporate R&D and AI Startups to stay on top of technical trends
Develop and execute portfolio strategies, aligning with current and future market needs
Product Development:
Build and maintain a localized roadmap for new business models and product innovation
Participate in product localization and development
Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, evaluation, and iteration
Role Requirements
3+ years of experience in product management with a commercial outlook in AI, technology, or SaaS sectors
Experience in content, data or IP licensing; a proven track record of sourcing, negotiating complex partnership is preferred
Strong technical and data science background
Experience with product management methodologies and tools, Agile, Aha, Jira, A/B testing, data analysis, etc.
Experience with GTM and new product launches
Bachelor’s degree is required
Excellent communication and presentation skills; Fluent in English
Self-motivated and strictly business-minded
Willingness to travel
Willingness to work with flexibility according to global hours. The overall working hour will comply to the Springer Nature policy and local law
