ISS-Corporate (ICS) is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the development and evolution of our carbon accounting product. This role will be central to shaping and delivering a scalable SaaS solution that enables corporates to measure, manage, and disclose greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with global standards.
The Product Owner will focus on advancing ICS’s carbon accounting capabilities, supporting corporate sustainability teams, finance functions, and executive stakeholders in meeting increasingly complex regulatory and reporting requirements, including GHG Protocol, IFRS S2, and CSRD / ESRS.
In addition, this role will play a key part in driving the integration of AI-enabled functionality across the platform, enhancing data processing, automation, analytics, and user experience. This includes embedding intelligent features into carbon accounting workflows and integrating these capabilities with broader ISS-Corporate solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with:
A solid understanding of carbon accounting and sustainability reporting
Experience with SaaS platforms
Proven ability to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise software solutions
You will sit at the intersection of sustainability, data, and technology, owning the product roadmap and ensuring the delivery of a best-in-class carbon accounting solution.
Key Objectives
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the carbon accounting platform, from strategy and roadmap through to delivery and continuous improvement
Design and evolve core platform capabilities, including emissions calculation engines, emission factor libraries, data ingestion and integration workflows, and audit trails
Define and prioritize product features aligned with regulatory developments (IFRS S2, CSRD, CDP)
Drive product development across Engineering, Data, Research, and UX teams
Collaborate with adjacent product teams to integrate carbon accounting functionality into broader ISS Corporate platforms
Drive AI-enabled functionality including automation, anomaly detection, emissions estimation, and intelligent user support
Develop product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Ensure strong user experience for sustainability and finance users
Monitor industry developments and translate them into product features
Background Requirements
4+ years of progressive experience in a corporate environment, a background in sustainability is a bonus but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in sustainability management, environmental science, engineering, business, or a related field.
Proven Product Owner/Product Manager experience in SaaS
ESG/GHG experience preferred
AI integration experience highly desirable
