Purpose & Scope
This role serves as the organization’s subject matter expert in seismic data and GIS, providing specialized knowledge to guide decision-making and ensure data accuracy. Responsibilities include leading the Project Management of DM 2.0, as well as driving process improvements and contributing to the development and implementation of data management standards and related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure MC data follows DM standards
- Facilitate regular conversations and status updates with all stakeholders for MC data
- Lead Dataverse demonstrations
- Lead Dataverse projects
- Bring forth issues and potential solutions to the DM leadership team
- Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the DM team while forming and upholding relationships.
- Ensure timely and correct MC data client deliveries
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Geophysics, Geology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related Earth Science or Data Science field or master’s degree in Geoscience, GIS, Data Management, or related discipline.
- Adept in analyzing complex information and translating it into actionable procedures.
- In-depth understanding of complex data structures.
- Adept at addressing and resolving critical issues promptly.
- Ability to convert user requests into actionable deliverables for development teams including
- creating usable workflows
- 5+ years working with seismic and GIS data in a technical or product-oriented role
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with all organizational levels and external vendors/partners.
- Thorough understanding of internal database structures and operations.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
