Job Description

As Product Line Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for the execution of the commercial strategy for fast-growing product lines - RFID. A successful candidate will provide vision and direction to the organization and drive action and execution to achieve the strategic and P&L goals for this product portfolio. We are a business fueled by collaboration and teamwork, and passionate about growth, sustainability, and diversity. The Product Line Manager does not have “direct selling” responsibility.

  • Develop medium-term, current, and next-year, product line strategy including GTM strategy with the commercial team

  • Own the product portfolio for the segment and conduct lifecycle maintenance actions for it with Product development and other relevant functions.

  • Create and maintain product roadmap and value propositions including leading recurring cross-functional reviews; Understand customer requirements

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to develop a portfolio strategy to penetrate new market opportunities, increase sales, or simply protect the market, to maintain/develop a market-leading position 

  • Provide priority for development work within the segment

  • Gather commercial and market feedback for iterative development with the commercial team and Product Development 

  • Partner closely with Commercial, Product Development, and Innovation Segment Managers

  • Execute a portfolio management approach to assigned products to optimize growth & profitability. 

  • Develop & implement pricing strategies to maximize product line growth & profitability.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales in the development/implementation of service strategies and programs for assigned product lines.

  • Develop and conduct product training for internal and external customers with product marketing excellence function

  • Manage the process of gathering ideas for new products and evaluating their potential to create a competitive advantage. Develops and manages product plans, including competitive product intelligence, product research, forecasts of product volume, specs, features, and benefits

Qualifications

  • At least ten (10) years of work experience demonstrating skill set requirements for the role

  • Demonstrated success in product development, including rollout, in cross-regional projects or initiatives

  • Knowledge of project management tools

  • Experience working through product development projects within the industry. 

  • Excellent organizational and people skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members and cross-functional stakeholders 

  • Ability to solve problems through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral, and written communication and presentation skills

  • Command of qualitative market research skills and industry knowledge and use of related tools and databases

  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative problem-solving techniques including effective use of statistics

  • Experience in the RFID industry and technical solutions is strongly preferred.

  • Travel requirements up to 25% of the time both domestic and international

  • Prior experience in program and product development leading integration of hardware, process operations, personnel and management/financial systems into a completed product

  • Assertive, persistent, and flexible in working in a matrixed, fast-paced organization

  • Self-discipline and urgency (sense of time pressure and motivation to complete activities)

  • Risk-taking (willing to try new things and explore new domains)

  • BS in business with a supporting technical background or engineering with relevant business experience
