Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Process Engineer

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Process Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.
You can expect to work with a team of Systems Engineers, Design Engineers, Process engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to support US Air Force and Navy Programs’ PLM applications and processes. We are also responsible for ensuring that the BDS Product Data Management (PDM) systems meet current customer requirements and are updated as needed to support Boeing improvement initiatives.
Your primary assignment will be to provide process and application support for the major programs at the Boeing – St. Louis site. This includes supporting multiple Engineering disciplines’ use of the PDM system Teamcenter and its integrated applications.
Another activity we are involved in is transitioning the programs at the Boeing-St. Louis site from their legacy PDM tools to go-forward Digital Engineering tools that support Model Based Engineering (MBE) and implement Enterprise-level common processes. You can expect to support this activity while gaining expertise in the current engineering and production processes and tools and becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the go-forward PDM systems to support the end users.
Position Responsibilities:
- Engaging with program engineers to resolve issues with their usage of Teamcenter and other applications related to engineering design and manufacturing processes
- Supporting engineering data delivery to suppliers and customers in specified formats
- Coordinating with new programs at the St. Louis site to define configuration and data management requirements and configuring Teamcenter to support their needs
- Working with Systems Engineering and program representatives to understand Model Based Engineering (MBE) requirements and implement them using existing PDM tools
- Working with cross-functional teams to understand customer and corporate requirements for digital data management and distribution and implement them using our existing PLM systems
- Participation in the development of process and tool requirements for transitioning existing program activities to common digital enterprise systems and identification of gaps in both processes and tools
- Supporting PDM system transition activities such as data migrations, data validation and system testing
- Analysis of engineering data across applications to find issues and determine how to correct the data to ensure consistency
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Level 2: 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor degree OR work-related experience with a Masters degree
- Level 3: 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters degree OR work-related experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and/or Production Data Management (PDM)
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
