American Waterworks is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Product Engineer to join our team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing water treatment products and systems that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test water treatment products and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and improve existing ones
- Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activity to inform product decisions
- Develop and implement product roadmaps and technical strategies
- Provide technical support and training to customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, chemical, environmental)
- 2+ years of experience in product development, engineering, or a related field
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with water treatment technologies and systems
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., NSF, ANSI)
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Water Professional (CWP)
