We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Product Engineer to join our Product Team. This person will help discover and deliver innovative solutions to our customers' most challenging engineering design problems. This tactical role works closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Software Engineers to execute on an established product roadmap. This necessitates expert-level skills with our product, a thorough understanding of our core technology, deep knowledge of customers’ workflows, and strong communication and project management skills.
This role can be either remote, hybrid, or based in our NY office, and reports to the Director of Product.
- Identify and develop physics-based simulation, optimization, and machine-learning focused solutions based on customer use cases
- Build custom prototypes and demos to test new ideas with potential customers
- Develop best simulation and optimization practices with our technical field teams for common applications.
- Document product specifications for the Engineering team and develop tailored solutions in the user environment
- Build technical enablement material for our Go-to-Market teams
- Contribute to technical documentation and other customer support resources
- Contribute insights to product leadership for roadmap formulation
Required Experience:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, engineering, customer support, or product management in the Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Engineering industries
- A BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant science field
- Applied expertise in engineering simulation, including finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
- Demonstrable knowledge of generative design methods, including design of experiments, optimization, and machine learning
- Highly competent with Python and open-source libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and SciPy
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve hard engineering problems using sound judgment to assess risks
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- A self-starter with exceptional attention to detail
Preferred Experience:
- 1-5 years of experience as a design engineer in aerospace, automotive or other engineering-driven industries
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other scientific field
Compensation: $105,000-120,000 annually, depending on experience
