At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing team, you support the production of optical components, assemblies, and systems made of glass, glass-ceramics, and ceramics for our high-tech small-batch, single-part, and prototype production.
In a highly qualified engineering environment, you take technical responsibility for products and process chains in high-volume manufacturing. You closely collaborate with interfaces such as Production, R&D, and other international sites, and actively contribute to optimizations and NPI projects.

As a Product Engineer, your main responsibilities include:

• Developing solutions for product issues and implementing them in line with specifications and operational KPIs to ensure stable product performance in volume production.

• Understanding and analyzing a process chain section or an entire process chain, including all core processes and functional (sub-)product requirements, and developing and successfully implementing corresponding manufacturing concepts.

• Conducting risk analyses for issues and changes, including escalation management where necessary.

• Ensuring delivery performance using production data and developing rework strategies and corrective actions together with all relevant stakeholders to maintain optimal performance.

• Evaluating deviations and damages to components and deriving/deciding appropriate corrective measures.

• Contributing to NPI projects with focus on product history, including comprehensive risk analysis, feasibility, manufacturability, design, and industrialization.

• Providing functional leadership for small teams (e.g., focus teams, core teams) and mentoring less experienced Product Engineers.

• Degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable qualification, with relevant knowledge of methodologies such as Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, or Continuous Improvement.

• Several years of professional experience in a comparable role within a technical manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of process chain sections or full process chains and their key interdependencies.

• Strong understanding of core processes, including tolerances and required technologies within process chain sections.

• Solid experience in the product development lifecycle; ideally participation in multiple NPI projects.

• Extensive experience in data analysis; knowledge in data engineering is a plus.

• Fluent in German and English to collaborate effectively with local and international teams.

• Demonstrates a self-driven and independent approach when working on complex tasks.

• Applies a structured and organized way of working, even when managing multiple parallel topics.

• Remains flexible and resilient, maintaining a clear overview in dynamic situations.

• Presents in a confident manner and is able to clearly represent decisions.

Als Teil unserer Präzisionsfertigung unterstützt du bei der Produktion optischer Komponenten, Baugruppen sowie Systeme aus Glas, Glaskeramik und Keramik für unsere High-Tech-Kleinserien, Einzelteil- und Prototypenfertigung.
In einem hochqualifizierten Engineering-Umfeld übernimmst du die technische Verantwortung für Produkte und Prozessketten in der Serienfertigung. Du arbeitest eng mit Schnittstellen wie Produktion, D&E sowie weiteren internationalen Standorten zusammen und gestaltest aktiv Optimierungen und NPI-Projekte.

Als Produktverantwortliche:r Ingenieur:in übernimmst du insbesondere:

• Erarbeitung von Lösungen von Produktproblemen sowie deren Implementierung mit Blick auf Spezifikationen und operative KPIs, um stabile Produktperformance in der Serie zu erreichen und zu gewährleisten.

• Verständnis und Analyse eines Prozesskettenabschnitts oder einer Prozesskette, aller Kernprozesse und funktionaler (Teil-)Produktanforderungen sowie die Ausarbeitung und erfolgreiches Umsetzen entsprechender Fertigungskonzepte.

• Durchführung von Risikoanalysen bei Problemen und Änderungen, ggf. Eskalationsmanagement.

• Sicherstellung der Lieferperformance unter Einbeziehung der Produktionsdaten sowie Ausarbeitung von Nacharbeitsstrategien und Abstellmaßnahmen mit allen relevanten Schnittstellen, um die optimale Performance aufrecht zu erhalten.

• Bewertung von Abweichungen und Beschädigungen an Bauteilen sowie Ableitung und Entscheidung geeigneter Maßnahmen.

• Mitgestaltung in NPI Projekten im Hinblick auf die Produkthistorie z.B. umfangreiche Risikoanalyse, Machbarkeit, Fertigbarkeit, Design und Industrialisierung.

• Fachliche Leitung kleiner Teams (z. B. Fokus Teams, Core Teams) sowie fachliches Unterweisen von weniger erfahrenen Product Engineers.

• Technischer oder naturwissenschaftlicher Hochschulabschluss oder vergleichbare Qualifikation mit einschlägigen Kenntnissen in Methoden wie Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA oder CI.

• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Position im technischen Produktionsumfeld.

• Umfangreiche Kenntnisse von Prozesskettenabschnitten oder Prozessketten und deren zentraler Zusammenhänge.

• Sehr gute Kenntnisse der Kernprozesse, inklusive ihrer Toleranzen und benötigter Technologien der Prozesskettenabschnitte. 

• Fundierte Erfahrungen im Produktentstehungsprozess und idealerweise bereits Mitarbeit an mehreren NPI-Projekten.

• Umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Datenanalyse sowie Kenntnisse im Bereich Data Engineering wünschenswert.

• Du sprichst Deutsch und Englisch verhandlungssicher, um mit lokalen und internationalen Teams zusammenzuarbeiten.

• Du arbeitest eigenmotiviert und selbstständig an komplexen Aufgaben.

• Du gehst strukturiert und organisiert vor, auch bei vielen parallelen Themen.

• Du bist flexibel und belastbar, behältst auch in dynamischen Situationen den Überblick.

• Du trittst sicher und selbstbewusst auf und kannst Entscheidungen klar vertreten.
