What You'll Do

As a Product Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, improving, and supporting our product line while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and improve overhead door products, components, and custom applications.

  • Develop CAD drawings for track layouts, spring systems, and customer-specific solutions.

  • Create, maintain, and improve Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system.

  • Calculate optimal spring and hardware combinations for various door configurations.

  • Evaluate new materials and components for quality, performance, and manufacturability.

  • Conduct product testing, including wind load testing, to ensure compliance with DASMA standards.

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to solve technical challenges.

  • Provide technical guidance to customers, architects, builders, and internal teams.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.

  • Maintain engineering documentation and technical specifications.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.

  • 3–5 years of engineering experience within the overhead door industry.

  • Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) in an ERP system.

  • Strong analytical, mechanical design, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with CAD software and engineering drafting practices.

  • Previous experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills
  • AutoCAD

  • Microsoft Excel

  • ERP software experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
