What your current role should be like:

• Manage Full Stack Development Teams: Oversee teams working on end-to-end development of scalable and secure consumer-facing applications, ensuring they meet performance benchmarks.
• Drive Engineering Best Practices: You’re actively involved in setting coding standards, establishing testing protocols, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to enhance the productivity and output quality of the team.
• Product Lifecycle Participation: Experience in 0-1 product development with high transaction volumes and responsibility for technical design and feature development.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Interface regularly with product, design, and analytics teams to align development efforts with strategic goals and customer/partner needs.
• Architectural Vision: Create and enforce an architectural vision for full-stack systems that support thousands of transactions per second.
• Tech Stack Proficiency: Strong expertise in technologies like Java, Angular, React, Next.js, and databases such as PostgreSQL to guide development practices and solve complex engineering challenges.

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of developers, fostering a collaborative environment to drive project success.
• Product Development: Oversee full-stack development processes, focusing on scalability, security, and performance across web and mobile platforms.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical lead, providing architectural guidance and hands-on support for front-end and back-end development.
• Project Ownership: Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to understand requirements, plan, and execute on project timelines.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through regular reviews, implement best practices, and promote agile methodologies within the team.
• Innovation & Problem Solving: Continuously research and integrate new technologies to enhance the user experience and product capabilities.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and challenges.

What do you have?

• Experience: 8+ years in full-stack development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in a fintech or product-based startup.
• Technical Skills:
• Frontend: Expertise in Android/iOS/Web[Javascript, Angular/React].
• Backend: Proficiency in Java, with a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Database: Solid experience with both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, focusing on deployment, monitoring, and scaling applications.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record in managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Product Knowledge: Experience delivering a complete product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, as a technical contributor.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Location Flexibility: Willingness to work in-office 5 days a week from Gurgaon.
• Qualification, Experience, and Competencies B. Tech/M. Tech or Ph.D. from a premier institute with ~8 years of relevant experience also as an individual contributor, having delivered a project from inception to end-consumer launch.

• Demonstrable experience in building a team for app development, having handled a team of 3-5 engineers.
• Prior experience working in fintech, especially on payment platforms or financial inclusion products.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of mobile application development frameworks (e.g., Kotlin).
