We are seeking a highly skilled Calypso Product Engineer with strong expertise in treasury and capital markets systems. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Calypso architecture, APIs, and trade lifecycle, along with solid programming skills in Java and database experience in Oracle.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support solutions within the Calypso platform
- Work closely with front office, middle office, and back office teams to implement business requirements
- Customize and enhance Calypso modules including Workstation, Pricing Sheets, and workflows
- Develop and integrate Calypso APIs and REST-based services
- Handle trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, settlement, accounting, and reporting
- Work on scheduled tasks, engines, and batch processing
- Collaborate on real-time integrations using FIX / Kafka
- Provide support for system enhancements, upgrades, and production issues
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso
- Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and APIs
- Solid experience in Core Java development
- Good working knowledge of Oracle Database (SQL/PL-SQL)
- Experience with REST API frameworks and integrations
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle in capital markets
- Experience with front office modules (Calypso Workstation, Pricing Sheets)
- Strong understanding of Equity products
- Good exposure to Treasury products, including:
- FX / Money Markets (MM)
- Bonds
- Repo
- Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
- Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
- Experience with Calypso Risk / ERS modules
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SA-CCR, FRTB
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming (Kafka)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
