Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product design, development, and testing of new ramp and accessibility solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales to bring products from concept to production.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing processes.
  • Perform analyses to ensure products meet safety, durability, and usability standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Research and apply new materials and technologies to enhance product innovation.
  • Manage prototyping and testing phases to validate design concepts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of product development experience, preferably in manufacturing or accessibility products.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for product design and drafting.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing standards.
  • Experience with prototyping and conducting product testing.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Location: Valley Cottage, NY (On-Site)

Salary: The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $125,000 $150,000 per year, plus incentives. The final salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
