We are Aiir. Our cutting-edge AI inspection and reporting platform is revolutionizing the aviation industry, enhancing jet engine inspections for global leaders like KLM and MTU. We are on a mission to become the global industry standard for engine maintenance, and we need a data-driven, speed-oriented Product Designer to help us get there.

About Your Role

As our Product Designer, you won’t just be "making things look pretty." You will own the end-to-end journey from raw user data to shipped features. Based in Amsterdam (or remote), you will be the bridge between deep user analytics and rapid engineering.

Your mission is to accelerate our insights-to-prototype loop. You will use PostHog to hunt for friction, AI tools to build high-fidelity solutions in record time, and maintain a robust design system that makes our developers’ lives easier.

The Job

You’ll join our Product team to set the new industry standard for aviation software. In this role, you will:

  • Turn Data into Action: Dive into PostHog and Google Analytics to identify drop-offs. Your goal? Fix the top 3 friction points and achieve an 85% satisfaction rate on iterated features.

  • Rapid Prototyping via AI: Use tools like Figma, Claude, and Framer to move from a concept to a dev-ready prototype in under a week.

  • Architect our Design System: Lead the migration of PrimeVue components into a comprehensive Figma library with tokens, ensuring 70% coverage and zero dev-design mismatches.

  • Close the Handoff Gap: Collaborate so closely with our frontend team that you cut design-to-code handoff time by 40%.

  • User Advocacy: Go beyond the screen. Conduct interviews and potentially visit engine shops to see how our users interact with the platform in the real world.

What You Bring to the Team
  • The Experience: 6+ years in SaaS Product Design, specifically handling complex dashboards, data-heavy forms, and intricate wizards.

  • The Toolkit: Expert-level Figma (Auto-layout, Components, Tokens) and a deep understanding of the PrimeVue ecosystem.

  • The Analytical Mind: You don't guess; you check the data. You are comfortable using PostHog to justify your design choices.

  • The Future-Forward Mindset: You are already using AI tools to augment your workflow and have a "KISS" (Keep It Simple, Stupid) approach to complex problems.

  • The Agile Spirit: You are proactive, independent, and thrive in an Kanban environment where shipping is the best form of learning.

What We Offer
  • Instant Impact: Your designs won’t sit in a backlog for months. You’ll see your work ship and affect global aviation immediately.

  • Ownership & Growth: A seat at the table to help shape our tech stack and design culture.

  • Cutting-Edge Stack: Work with state-of-the-art AI tools and a modern data suite (PostHog, Figma, Claude) to solve complex, real-world problems.

  • High-Performance Culture: Join a lean, energetic, and international team that values autonomy, ownership, and continuous learning.

  • Global Reach: Work with a prestigious, involved customer base from all over the world - setting the new standard for an entire industry.

What You’ll Gain
  • True Flexibility: 32–40 hours per week with a "Remote First" approach. Work from home (within 2 time zones of Amsterdam) or from our HQ.

  • Modern Workspace: A home-office budget, a high-end laptop of your choice, and access to our customized virtual office.

  • Rest & Travel: 26 days of paid holiday per year, plus a travel budget for visiting the team in Amsterdam.

  • Human Investment: Regular personal coaching sessions and a dedicated education/training budget to sharpen your skills.

  • Connection: Quarterly company-wide retreats and team-building events to keep our distributed team tight-knit.

About Aiir

At Aiir, we are building the definitive intelligence layer for the aviation industry. Since our founding in 2016, we have evolved from an Amsterdam-based startup into a high-growth platform backed by elite VCs, including HearstLab (US), Borski Fund (NL), and SHIFT Invest (NL).

We aren't just building software; we’re providing a "second pair of eyes" for the world’s most critical engine inspections. Our AI-powered solution allows airlines and leasing giants, including KLM and MTU Leasing Services, to increase inspection quality while slashing report creation time by up to 80%.

Though our HQ is in Amsterdam, we operate as a high-performance distributed team across the globe. We are on a relentless mission to become the global industry standard for all jet engine inspections. Join us, and help us reach new heights.

Skills Required

  • 6+ years in SaaS Product Design, especially complex dashboards, data-heavy forms, and wizards.
  • Expert-level Figma (Auto-layout, Components, Tokens).
  • Deep understanding of the PrimeVue ecosystem and component libraries.
  • Proven use of PostHog and Google Analytics for product/UX analysis.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) and Framer for rapid prototyping to dev-ready fidelity.
  • Experience architecting and migrating component libraries into a Figma design system with tokens.
  • Track record of improving design-to-code handoff and collaborating closely with frontend teams.
  • Comfortable working proactively in a Kanban/Agile environment and shipping iteratively.
  • Conduct user interviews and occasional field visits to engine shops for contextual research.
  • Data-driven mindset: justify design decisions with analytics and iterate toward measurable satisfaction goals.
