Description
As a Product Designer at AI21, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to turn complex design challenges into intuitive, engaging, and delightful experiences. You'll play an active role in shaping the end-to-end design process for our product applications, from initial concept to final handoff. This role requires someone who is passionate about crafting innovative design work with the development of classic product funnels, allowing you to have substantial ownership over the entire product development cycle.
Role and Responsibilities
- Leverage user-centered design principles to develop smart, cutting-edge experiences that resonate with our users. Initiate and conduct user interviews and usability tests to validate concepts and refine designs.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, data science and other design team members to define product direction, ensure design feasibility, and align on strategic goals.
- Build interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to push interaction patterns and enhance responsiveness across platforms.
- Use data insights and user feedback to iteratively refine designs, continually enhancing usability and overall user satisfaction.
- Own the design lifecycle from gathering inspiration to delivering pixel-perfect, development-ready designs, ensuring every state and interaction is fully considered.
- Keep on top of the latest design trends, best practices, and tools, applying them to improve team output and product excellence.
- Participate in team design critiques, reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions, providing constructive feedback and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years in UX/UI design, ideally within a consumer-focused product environment. Experience with conducting usability testing and user interviews is a strong advantage.
- A portfolio showcasing your strengths in product thinking, visual design, and solving complex user challenges.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with a passion for creating intuitive, innovative, and user-friendly experiences.
- Highly detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality and usability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to a diverse audience.
- Proactive and capable of managing multiple tasks in parallel, balancing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, and remaining open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Experience with motion design and animation is an advantage
