We're looking for a Product Designer who can help shape the future of commerce by partnering closely with Product and Engineering to create intuitive, high-impact experiences for our customers.

This position is based out of Button’s New York City hub, with three days in office each week.

Role Overview

As a Product Designer, you'll own product experiences from concept through launch. You'll work across discovery, strategy, interaction design, prototyping, and execution, helping transform complex business and technical challenges into elegant user experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys operating with significant ownership, and wants to influence both product direction and customer outcomes.

AS A PRODUCT DESIGNER, YOU WILL:

  • Lead end-to-end design for product initiatives from discovery through launch
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define solutions and prioritize opportunities
  • Translate customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into intuitive experiences
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and polished UI designs
  • Conduct and synthesize user research and customer feedback
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions
  • Contribute to and evolve Button's design system
  • Help establish design best practices across the organization
  • Present work clearly and effectively to stakeholders

  • 4–7 years of experience designing digital products
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking and business impact
  • Experience owning product areas independently
  • Excellent interaction and systems design skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma required)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Button’s total compensation package includes a base salary competitive with what is offered by similar companies in major US markets. The salary range for this role in the United States is expected to be between $145,000 – $175,000 (offered salary is based on a number of factors including skills and experience relative to the job description listed above). In addition, Button provides employees with a 401(k) plan and automatically contributes 3% of an employee’s salary annually. We also want our employees to be well-rested and live balanced lives–Buttonians enjoy unlimited time off (including birthdays off) and Summer and Winter Breaks which allow the entire company to take a breath and recharge, as well as an employee assistance program. For many of the health, vision, and dental insurance plans offered by Button, the company covers 100% of the premiums for employees and 80% for dependents. Button offers all employees and their dependents complimentary memberships to One Medical as well as a monthly stipend for mobile phone/internet and an annual lifestyle stipend. Button also offers employees in select markets “All Access” memberships to WeWork as well as regular “coworking days” and social events.
