About the Role
We are seeking a Product Designer motivated by the opportunity to work at a design-driven company. You will tackle complex design challenges to deliver exceptional product experiences for our customers, with support and collaboration from all areas of the business.
You will help execute our product design and take ownership of the end-to-end design process in close collaboration with our design leader, Product, and Engineering teams; you will help ship the simplest, most intuitive product solutions.
In this role, you will work in a highly collaborative environment while getting autonomy, ownership, and the ability to impact the entire product.
This role is based in Toronto; we expect you to come to the office (downtown Toronto) at least once or twice a week for meetings and working sessions, but you can work remotely on other days.
Responsibilities
- Working with PMs to understand/define problem statements using user research, data insights and other tools
- Thinking through the user journey/scenarios and identifying the best design solution while taking into account any business/tech factors
- Validating designs with users, and getting alignment with internal stakeholders
- Getting designs ready for dev, supporting the dev team through implementation, and ensuring accurate translation of the design to code
- Collaborating with other designers to maintain and update the Design System as needed
- Helping evolve the long-term vision for the product/design by collaborating with the rest of the team
Must Have
- 4+ years of product design experience, of which at least 2+ years at a technology startup
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing
- Experience owning product design from start to finish, working with developers and PMs
- Extraordinary visual design skills, and a solid understanding of UX/UI principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to persuade stakeholders
- Mastery of Figma

Practicals
- Team: Product & Design
- Location: Toronto-based only, 2-day a week in office. For this position, we will only look at applications from Toronto
- Office: We have an office in downtown Toronto and expect you to be in the office at least once or twice a week
