Product Cost Analyst
Description
As Product Cost Senior Analyst , you will ensure that Inventory / costs for the company's products are allocated according to corporate procedures and in compliance financial accounting standards. As well as, overseeing the cost control systems, managing and interpreting cost audits, and preparation of cost accounting reports for presentation to top management.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform cost run for parts/products on monthly basis, after reviewing new standard rates against previous one.
- Update OH, Labor, Landed Cost rates after collecting full data required.
- Perform a month-end closing journal entries according to monthly schedule by meeting due dates.
- Prepare monthly aging report for all inventory items, which may lead to forming provision for slow moving items and obsolete items.
- Analyzing goods in-transit, customs, freight, and other landed cost accounts, posting actual vs. standard variance, and accrual on monthly basis.
- Monthly analysis for inventory adjustment with direct COGS effect.
- Review and control inventory purchase requisitions for parts not under-agreements.
- Review and post cycle count according to change in BOM or API reflection.
- Accountable for communications with auditors, and annually financial review.
- Conduct physical inventory counts at GM Egypt plant and investigate cycle counts results.
- Other tasks as deemed appropriate to accomplish the job requirements.
