Global Investment Banking (GIB) provides strategic advice, capital raising and risk management to corporations, governments and institutions worldwide. Our comprehensive suite of services includes M&A, advisory, equity and debt capital markets, leveraged finance, and structured products. Investment Banking partners closely with Commercial Banking and Global Corporate Banking to provide our clients with deep industry expertise and tailored solutions to help them achieve their strategic goals. The M&A team works with corporations and institutions of all sizes to structure and execute deals to further their growth plans, make strategic exits or respond to activist shareholders. Our Corporate Advisory and Director Advisory Services (DAS) teams help clients achieve their long-term strategic goals through the delivery of holistic advice, targeted capital deployment, and guidance on board governance and composition. The Capital Markets team is comprised of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Origination & Debt Capital Markets (DCM). Our ECM team helps clients with every stage of raising equity capital by way of a range of transaction types. Our DCM team combines superior debt origination and structuring expertise with exceptional distribution capabilities to a large base of investors. The origination team works directly with issuers to advise on debt financing strategies. The Investment Banking Industry Coverage groups produce industry-specific expertise and guidance, working with the appropriate product groups to generate ideas around potential transactions.
Job responsibilities - Global Banking Latin America Product Controller
  • Regional Product Controller: Own and manage all aspects of Global Investment Banking (GIB) product control for Latin America and serve as regional point of contact for Lending product control.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes for GIB products, ensuring accurate reporting of financials and regulatory compliance.
  • Billing Control Activities: Oversee end-to-end billing activities for GIB and non-GIB businesses, including partnering with bankers on deal closures, issuing invoices, monitoring receivables, and providing analytical reviews related to the integrity of books and records.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Collaborate with bankers, CFOs, Planning & Analysis (P&A), and business managers to develop a strong understanding of GIB products and their financial impact, while maintaining a robust control environment.
  • Project Participation: Actively participate in regional and global projects and strategic initiatives to ensure proper support and control governance.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships across finance teams within the region and globally to ensure effective partnerships and the sharing of best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Cultivate a team culture by empowering team members to think and act strategically to support regional business goals and manage a team across different locations, providing clear communication, creating a safe work environment, attracting talent, and developing career paths and succession plans.

Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Professional qualification on Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of financial experience
  • Able to take ownership and act as leader. Management skills is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Spanish Language is a plus
  • Familiarity with Digital tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, Databricks
  • Flexibility to adapt to diverse challenges related to people and business
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure
