Role Overview
As a Product Controller (PC) within CIB, you are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Line of Business (LOB) books and records. The role involves working with various stakeholders such as Front Office, Operations’ teams, Planning and Analysis teams, Product Owners, Market Risk Coverage, Quantitative Research teams, Technology partners, Financial Control, Valuation Control Group, Treasury, Operations and Entity Controllers. The current opening is within GF&BM CIB Controllers in Mumbai, in the Markets Product Control function, which is part of the CIB Line of Business
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed financial analysis and reporting to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance leadership .
- Collaborate with the business to implement robust controls and support new initiatives .
- Coordinate with back-office functions to promptly resolve control and reporting issues .
- Drive process transformation by leveraging advanced technology solutions and partnering with strategic technology development teams to achieve sustainable process improvements .
- Ensure compliance with CIB product controller standards and address any identified gaps .
- Compile and distribute MIS, including monthly financials, and respond to ad-hoc requests .
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field .
- Minimum 2 Years in a Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting or related area .
- Experience with P&L, Risk and month-end close processes .
- Strong understanding of financial products .
- Solid understanding of industry practices and accounting principles .
- Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills .
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills .
- Familiarity with process transformation methodologies or automation solutions .
