The Role

Title: Product Consulting

Location: Remote - Detroit Michigan, USA (Location specific due to travel)

Reports To: Vice President - Consulting

The Role:  

The Mobile App Lead will be responsible for all activities and communications as it relates to J.D. Power’s annual automotive mobile app evaluation and report.  The goal of the activities is identifying the best-in-class solutions and experiences that ultimately meets the customer’s needs.  This completed by obtaining real customer feedback based on their current experiences and strategically evaluating global in-market solutions. 


The Impact You Will Have in This Role:  

Success within this role is executing robust evaluations on time that measures current customer satisfaction levels and identifies opportunities to improve products and the overall customer experience.


What You’ll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Lead the overall mobile app evaluations.
  • Evaluate mobile app solutions for performance, usability, feature content, etc.
  • Analyze large amounts of data and provide clarity to topics using available data sets and research analysis skills.
  • Develop and write the mobile app reports, accounting for all relevant and key information.
  • Present the findings of the evaluations with supporting rationale to clients.
  • Support any additional external communications of the activities and results.
  • Coordinate vehicle procurement and specific vehicle packages to facilitate the evaluations.
  • Coordinate with global colleagues to conduct evaluations in market or to support new product developments.
  • Support the sales and marketing of current and new products.
  • Support the development of new products.
  • Responsible for supporting client relationship management, project scheduling and budget plans, delivering, presenting, and negotiating proposals.

 
Qualifications of this Role:

  • Demonstrable experience in consumer electronics and/or the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of consumer electronics and mobile connected services.
  • Good understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Experienced and proficient in research design and general statistics.
  • Proficient in the analysis of data sets.
  • Proficient in project management and possess applicable skills.
  • Proficient in project execution and delivery of results to meet milestones.
  • Ability to develop and optimize analytical methods and procedures.
  • Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and the evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ability to network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
