The Team:
Supports the development of straight-through processing (STP) solutions that integrate with third-party vendors associated with our clients, such as data providers, trade affirmation platforms, fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians. The team is primarily focused on building data ingestion and export interfaces.
The Role:
This role reports to the India TPR Lead. As a product business analyst, you will contribute to building data ingestion and transmission interfaces, enhancing the team’s domain expertise and promoting best practices. You will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across the financial services industry, including hedge funds, institutional asset managers, prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators and analytics service providers.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with internal client-facing teams, third parties (e.g., hedge funds, institutional asset managers, prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators, and analytics service providers), and internal technology teams to enable straight-through processing within our portfolio management solution. This includes supporting the data ingestion and transmission.
- Leverage your in-depth understanding of the multi-asset class investment management process to define clear requirements, design solutions, and create holistic test plans.
- Ensure new projects or enhancement requests from clients and internal stakeholders (E.g. Sales, account managers, client success teams) are handled promptly and appropriately.
- Communicate regularly with the development team to provide guidance on the enhancements required and its prioritization.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and external third parties to comprehensively test new interfaces.
- Document new developments, as well as cross-train the team and other relevant internal stakeholders about exciting product releases.
- Oversee strategic roadmap initiatives with minimal supervision and independently deliver results through collaboration across all relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in complex projects which require a strong technical acumen, expertise, and critical thinking - specifically in data management, connectivity and process architecture.
- Build new and/or improve existing broker relationships through mutual value propositions that benefit both counterparties and support company-wide initiatives.
- Strengthen client and other third-party relationships through reliable delivery, clear business communication, and effective expectation management.
- Identify and support deliver improvements to day-to-day BAU processes through data driven decisions.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Engineering.
- 2-5 years of proven experience as Business Analyst in the capital market or investment banking domain.
- Strong knowledge of different financial products including Equities, Futures, Options, Fixed Income and OTC instruments.
- Solid understanding on trade lifecycle, portfolio management, fund accounting, and cash management.
- Proficient in data analysis.
- Ability to critically assess risk and evaluate its impact on existing workflows, evaluating alternatives to deliver tactical and/or strategic solutions.
- Skilled at working effectively and independently with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Highly organized, and a fast learner, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment by demonstrating critical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to engage effectively with senior management.
Nice to Have:
- MBA in finance or information systems from reputed B-School.
- Experience working directly in a product-focused role, designing and implementing solutions for interfaces/connectivity teams, reference data teams, trade file testing teams, trade affirmation, or reconciliation teams.
- Knowledge with the competitive landscape of SaaS systems (OEMS/PMS/Accounting) serving hedge funds and institutional asset managers (the 'Buy Side').
- Experience in reading/writing JavaScript.
- Knowledge of standard protocols like FTP, FIX, API and Swift, and experience with XML.
