Join Nokia’s Autonomous Networks engineering team to architect the next generation of Core Network Management platforms that help telecom operators predict failures, accelerate troubleshooting and reduce MTTR. As a Product Architect, you’ll shape scalable, resilient and AI-powered cloud-native solutions leveraging 4G/5G, OAM/FCAPS, Kubernetes/OpenShift, microservices, Golang, Kafka, OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, React, AI/ML and Agentic AI. Partner with customers, Product Management and engineering leaders to solve complex distributed-system challenges, drive architectural vision and build intelligent, future-ready telecom solutions that power the networks of tomorrow.
Responsibilities- Define and drive the architectural vision, roadmap, and technology strategy for the cloud-native observability platform supporting 4G/5G Core Networks.
- Architect scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available solutions leveraging cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, architecture patterns, and platform capabilities, and provide data-driven recommendations to guide technology adoption and investment decisions.
- Lead architecture reviews and critical design decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, product strategy, operational requirements, and long-term platform evolution.
- Drive innovation in observability, OAM/FCAPS, analytics, and operational automation to improve network visibility, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Solve complex system-level challenges across application, platform, and infrastructure layers, including performance, scalability, reliability, and production deployments.
- Partner with Product Management, Customers, Operations, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into future-ready solutions and successful customer outcomes.
- Mentor engineering teams, establish architectural governance and best practices, and drive technical excellence through design reviews, technology leadership, and continuous improvement.
You have:
- Engineering degree or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in telecom, cloud-native platforms and large-scale production environments.
- Cloud-Native & Distributed Architecture: Deep expertise in Kubernetes (CRDs, Operators, Controllers), OpenShift, microservices, distributed systems and platform engineering.
- Telecom & Network Management: Strong expertise in OAM/FCAPS, 4G/5G Core Networks, Network Functions, SNMP and 3GPP standards, with experience architecting telecom management and observability platforms.
- Data & Streaming Architecture: Hands-on expertise in high-scale data ingestion, ETL, event-driven/streaming and analytics architectures using Kafka, ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, MariaDB and Data Lakes.
- Observability & Intelligent Operations: Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, OTLP, OpAMP, PromQL/VMQL, metrics, logs, traces, correlation, automated RCA, anomaly detection and operational analytics.
- Carrier-Grade Engineering & DevSecOps: Experience designing highly available, scalable, resilient, secure and multi-tenant platforms, with expertise in CI/CD, automation, IaC, Kubernetes operations and cloud-native security.
