Job Summary
MycoWorks is seeking a Product and Process Development Leader to optimize manufacturing processes and integrate upstream technology innovations into scalable production. This role involves collaborating with downstream partners like tanneries to ensure quality and performance standards are met throughout the supply chain. The leader will guide teams in product development, process optimization, and ensuring production is cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable. This position plays a key role in aligning technological advancements with practical, scalable solutions for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of scalable manufacturing solutions for mycelium-based materials.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies focused on sustainability, efficiency, and performance.
- Collaborate with upstream teams to integrate technological innovations into production.
- Work with downstream partners, like tanneries, to ensure product alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Streamline production development to reduce time-to-market for new products.
- Foster innovation within development teams.
- Manage cross-functional teams and oversee budget management for process development projects.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in product and process development, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain integration.
- Advanced degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven leadership managing cross-functional teams in R&D and manufacturing.
- Strong experience in scaling R&D innovations into cost-effective production processes.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Industrial materials development experience, especially in biological or sustainable materials.
- Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners, including tanneries.
