The Opportunity

As Producer, you will serve an integral role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of our projects run smoothly and directly support the effectiveness and efficiencies within our growing Game Dev. Team! Working on brand new IP Projects, you will support our team as a champion for sustainable and competitive working practices! You’ll keep our cross-discipline team focused, working towards milestones you craft, acting as a bridge between team and business needs. Maintain a roadmap the team believes in, a backlog that stays healthy, and a delivery rhythm that can account for feedback and external relationship building!

You’ll be coordinating the efforts of cross‑discipline teams to remove obstacles, while enabling empowered discipline Leads.

Reporting to the Executive Producer, you will collaborate closely on strategy, project management, resource allocation and production processes. . You’ll partner with the entire development team to surface risks early, remove obstacles negotiate scope tradeoffs, and keep quality and stability at the center of decision making.

You are have direct experiences with agile practices, but you are not overly rigid about process. You have supported teams in navigating iterative and changing goals, keeping backlogs managed, and have assisted the team in making pragmatic decisions that preserve milestones.

You have a track record of being comfortable and eager to flex into the parts of production that sit adjacent to the conventional sprint: release planning, platform relationships, QA coordination, community support, as well as the “business glue” work (like budgets, hiring planning, and tax credits) that maintains and benefits relationships with external partners!

You’ll succeed here if you can prioritize strategically and confidently. When everything feels important, you can identify what is truly blocking the teams ability to get an amazing product into players hands.


Within 1 month, you’ll…

  • Build relationships with your peers and external partners through 1:1 meetings, to understand the collaboration between your role and all departments. Begin planning for how you will work together and support each other's goals
  • Familiarize yourself with the team's existing backlog and task creation process, develop an understanding of how work is prioritized, broken down, and tracked. You’ll begin taking ownership of backlog health, ensuring it stays relevant, well-groomed, and aligned with near-term milestones
  • Have lead your first sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews and retros)
  • Demonstrate cultural understanding by leveraging inquisitiveness to understand the environment Gamemode One is in, including our structure, Minecraft as an engine, and the company's present projects and future goals
  • Have identified opportunities for leaner, efficient and more effective processes within the Minecraft Team’s process’ and overall Production structure.


Within 3 months, you’ll…

  • Utilize story mapping to take the team through release planning for upcoming milestones
  • Take ownership of the backlog and lead sprints that steadily track towards milestones. Work closely with the team to deliver a meaningful slice of the product each sprint, with clear scope boundaries and success criteria.
  • Become a reliable partner in feature and scope negotiations: translate creative intent into shippable plans and facilitate compromises in consultation with the Executive Producer and leadership
  • Have learned about and built relationships with the development teams, including understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and needs, and the teams that support project development, such as marketing and QA
  • Lead teams through the advancement of scrum methodologies and their continued adoption
  • Take an IP project from pre-prod to prod through navigating key project milestones, meeting high-quality delivery expectations that are aligned with established creative pillars and stakeholder expectations


Within 6 months, you’ll…

  • Co‑author a clear roadmap and milestone plan with the Executive Producer for a new project, which is realistic for our team
  • Inform future production plans through providing input on team capacity and scope to ensure we are equipped to achieve upcoming projects
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine and execute a successful project vision
  • Advance our agile culture, both within the development team and the company at large
  • Have successfully lead multiple projects from pre-production to release
  • Build trust with our external partners, serving as primary production point-of-contact for at least one external partner.


Within 12 months and beyond, you’ll…

  • Lead full development cycles of a new-line products, from kickoff through release and post-mortem
  • Establish and maintain a culturally aligned production environment, allowing our team to do their best work efficiently and effectively, where:
    • Practices are custom fit to our team’s needs;
    • Milestones are delivered predictably;
    • Partners express confidence in visibility and communication;
    • Ensured stable team engagement with notable process improvements
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine and execute a successful project vision for multiple products, helping plan for 2027 and beyond
  • Be acting as an integral partner to guide the scaling of our team’s capacity and overall ambitions
