We are seeking a procurement transformation leader to reimagine Source-to-Pay (S2P) in a modern telco. You will lead a ground-up redesign of intake-to-procure, sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procure-to-pay, with Ivalua as the backbone platform and AI as a force multiplier. Your mandate is to deliver a target operating model where humans and AI collaborate via human-in-the-loop controls, agent-based automation (e.g., agentiAI), and policy-as-code to drive speed, compliance, savings, and risk reduction across complex telco categories (network rollout, devices, tower/fiber, field services, IT, and marketing).
Key Responsibilities Process discovery and diagnostics
• Map end-to-end S2P processes (Intake-to-Procure, Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Risk & Performance) using process mining, value stream mapping, and Ivalua analytics.
• Quantify pain points (cycle time, maverick spend, match errors, rework, supplier onboarding lead time) and build a prioritized transformation backlog with business cases.
• Benchmark against leading telcos and top-quartile S2P performance.
Design and deliver the future-state operating model
• Define a human + AI target operating model spanning shared services, category teams, and Centers of Excellence; clarify roles, skills, SLAs, and control points.
• Establish human-in-the-loop governance for AI decisions (commitments, supplier risk approvals, contract clause changes) and model risk management.
• Implement policy-as-code for approvals, thresholds, delegation of authority, and compliance.
Ivalua-led S2P transformation
• Understand Ivaluya modules: Intake/Guided Buying, eSourcing, Contracts, Supplier Management (onboarding, risk, performance), Catalogs/Punchout, P2P, and Invoicing.
• Experience in configuring workflows, forms, business rules, catalogs, rate cards, and approval matrices; govern master data (suppliers, categories/UNSPSC, materials/services, GL, cost centers, projects/WBS).
AI, automation, and agent-based solutions
• Deploy agentic AI (e.g., agentiAI or equivalent) to handle intake triage, PO line enrichment, 3-/4-way match exceptions, supplier inquiry response, data cleansing, and status chasing—always with human-in-the-loop approvals for commitments and policy exceptions.
• Use generative AI for specification standardization, statement-of-work drafting, clause extraction and fallback recommendations, pricing anomaly detection, and supplier due diligence summarization.
• Implement RPA/IPA, IDP/OCR for invoice and document processing, and process mining to continuously monitor and improve flows.
Telco-specific category and risk focus
• Optimize procurement for network equipment and services (RAN, core, transport, fiber, CPE), tower/facility leases, device/handset supply, logistics/repair, field services, and IT/Cloud.
• Enable milestone- and T&M-based services with service entry sheets and 4-way match; support framework agreements, rate cards, and blanket POs.
• Embed supplier risk (financial, ESG, cyber, sanctions), revenue-critical spares availability, and delivery SLAs into sourcing and ongoing performance management.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years in S2P/procurement transformation within complex, multi-entity environments; telco or capex-heavy industries strongly preferred.
• Hands-on Ivalua expertise required: design/configuration and administration across multiple modules (eSourcing, Contracts, Supplier Management, Catalogs, P2P, Invoicing); proven end-to-end deployment and enhancement experience.
• Demonstrated delivery of P2P and sourcing improvements with measurable KPIs (cycle time, maverick spend, match rates, savings realization).
• Experience integrating Ivalua with ERP (SAP S/4 or Oracle), e-invoicing networks, tax engines, supplier risk/scoring data, and identity systems.
• Practical track record with automation and AI in procurement (RPA/IPA, IDP/OCR, LLM copilots, agent-based solutions) with human-in-the-loop governance.
• Strong understanding of procurement controls, SoD, audit, and regulatory requirements (ABAC, sanctions, GDPR, SoX/ICFR).
• Data-driven mindset; skilled in building KPIs and dashboards; familiarity with process mining and spend analytics.
• Excellent stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and change leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ivalua certifications and experience with upgrades, multi-country rollouts, and COE governance.
• Exposure to telco categories and processes: network rollout/5G, tower/fiber leasing, device supply chains, field services, logistics/repair, and spares.
• Knowledge of service procurement (SOW, milestones, rate cards, T&M), 3-/4-way match, and inventory-linked POs.
• Experience with agentic AI platforms (e.g., agentiAI) and policy-as-code frameworks.
• Certifications: CPSM/MCIPS, PMP/Agile; data/AI credentials.
Core Competencies
• Reimagine the possible: Zero-based design thinking; challenges legacy norms and simplifies the path from need to value.
• Outcome orientation: Links design decisions to quantifiable benefits and business risk reduction.
• Risk-aware innovation: Balances speed and automation with controls, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration and influence: Leads cross-functional squads and vendor partners; elevates user adoption.
Tools and Technologies (indicative)
• S2P: Ivalua (core platform).
