Topcon Healthcare Inc. is looking for an outstanding Procurement Specialist who has excellent communication and negotiation skills, is an analytical thinker, and demonstrates a great working knowledge of purchasing strategies.

The Procurement Specialist's primary responsibility will be to ensure that our company obtains high-quality goods and services at the best possible prices. You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts, manage purchase orders, and maintain inventory levels.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about procurement operations and wants to make an immediate impact!

This role requires 4 days in office in our Oakland, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Maintain relationships with existing vendors and assess their performance regularly.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure that orders are placed in accordance with company policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and expedite orders when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with the finance department to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future demand to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Implement inventory management systems and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records and identify any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SAP or Oracle is a must.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry or role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay:

Expected Base Pay Range: $80,000 to $95,000 Annualized

The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.

Bonus eligible:

 In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 5% annual bonus.

*Topcon time off policies can vary between roles which are exempt or non-exempt. For hourly (“non-exempt”) employees, we offer personal paid time off which accrues in accordance with local standards. For salaried (“exempt”) employees, we offer a flexible paid time off policy giving you flexibility to take time when needed, while supporting business needs. All paid time off policies are in accordance with or exceeding local law. Employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for our Health and Welfare benefit package.
