Procurement Specialist

Are you a procurement professional who thrives on building supplier relationships and delivering results? Join our Process Equipment Division (PED) as a Procurement Specialist, where you'll source high-quality products, negotiate supplier agreements, and help ensure cost, quality, and delivery expectations are met. This full-time, permanent position is based at our Jefferson Hills, PA facility. 

Job Summary: 
As a Procurement Specialist, you will partner with suppliers and internal teams to source outsourced products that meet our quality and performance standards. You will leverage your negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules that support both business and customer needs. 
Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate Supply Chain activities with Product Managers and Material Control to maximize value for KJLC
• Respond to pricing and delivery inquiries for non-stocked items in support of sales and production requirements
• Analyze demand, inventory, and spend data to optimize stocking levels, drive supplier consolidation, and improve purchasing efficiency
• Negotiate with new and existing suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, lead times, quality, packaging, and service levels 
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships through audits, inspections, performance reviews, and ongoing negotiations
• Create and manage purchase orders to support sales orders, production requirements, and inventory replenishment
• Maintain accurate planning data, including item master information, purchase order delivery dates, and inventory management systems such as JIT, MRP, and e-commerce tools

Qualifications: 
Required  

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field or equivalent in experience.  
• At least 3 years of experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and ERP Systems.   
• Working knowledge of purchasing techniques including RFQs, blanket orders and product demand discounts that improve strategic costing capabilities.  

Preferred 

• Dynamics 365 is a plus  
• CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management)  
• CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
